A life's journey through wanting it all. time goes by and we age and find, for the most of us, that all is never going to be filled but you can still be happy. whether or not you are spiritual it is through you to make your own happiness.

Wonderful message! It's not the physical or material blessings that can bring true and lasting joy - not even "bought" friendship but the personal walk with God that enables us to "bathe in light" and experience true peace.

So perfect with skilfully constructed verse. These sentiments resonate with my own skewed yearnings. Is the picture one you took yoursel? The colours also fit the display. Well done!

We all look for happiness in different ways until we find what truly makes us happy. Your poem shows that with a stark reality feel to it. I like this poem for the fact the person in it has found what makes them happy in the end.

I am not sure I understand the prompt, so I'll not try to wear the judge's shoes.
A monorhyme sestet between six quatrains(and dreams with two esses) that seems to say possessions and parties left you flat...some try children and God and power for the ultimate good...excellent poem...

Yes things cannot bring you happiness..

The answer isn't the tile on my floor.
It's the love and life I welcome to my door...yes things are empty and addicting..love lasts for ever
God bless

There are no longer a lot of things I need, Those things you can buy really have not much meaning to me. What I need is love, peace, friendship and understanding. May your week be blessed. Patricia

Wonderful poem and message about how people think things will make them happy. But its not about the things its about people loving each other. That is truly what we long for and what makes us happy. Money can't buy us love.

When I first became a Christian, I hopefully said goodbye to all the pretence, the trying to live up to someone else's expectations not my own, and discovered a completely different world. Beautifully written in varying meter and strategic rhyme. Articulate and discerning, expressive and well headlined with single lines between stanzas, well done, excellent job and entry, blessjngs, Roy

I Need So Many Things is an interesting and thought provoking story in a poem.

Great picture and presentation.

One little nit in this line "God, please, help me towalk away." towalk should be two separate words.

Well done and good luck.
Janet
