macee97: I love Fanstory...the people are nice...I do not like the money aspect....I think that the contests should be handled different...people should read all of the entries....and more people should vote....having to promote your work...has cost me a lot of money...and really for nothing... On another score, I have learned a great deal from the other writers and reviews. I am not crazy about the new format...Old ways die hard; however, I am willing to give it a go. Thanks for the opportunities presented on this website. |

macee97: I love writing poetry. I already had the writing bug when I published my children's story "The Indian Battle at Claremore Mound." But this poetry bug is different. I want everyone to read my poetry and to give me things to improve on...like all writers I want critiques...I want you great writers to read my stuff while I read yours. I have wondered if it were possible to exchange writings...when someone reads your poem, then you must reciprocate and read and critique one of their works. You learn quickly in the contests that obviously when you are wished good luck and I think you have a winner...this person is not voting in the contests. I also do not understand the sparcity of people who vote in the contests. If there is a contest there, I am going to try to win it...but it has only happened once and to me it was like getting a Pulitzer Prize. I do not have much money and right now I cannot pay to enter a contest. I have glaucoma and it is hard for me to review long works or any as far as that goes..I would never make the number needed by reviewing. I do think the money issues are my only complaint. I have works that people have never read. On the other hand, this is a wonderful place. The people are so nice. The talent here is amazing. I have received a few accolades and they are exciting. I watch to see if I have moved up in the Poetry ranks.... Thanks for making me feel like I have a tad bit of talent. God bless you. |
