Hey Stan.
Things are looking up for Sam and his Wife as they work on their marriage. The two are evidently working to overcome a challenging past. Just as they were getting ready for the night, you skillfully introduced a tense moment by having Sam's phone ring. There are a lot of emotions at the surface between the two of them anyway, but the phone ringing Is a masterful shift in the story. You did a great job in that transition. It was not only well thought out, but it was a clever twist.

This girl sounds like trouble with a capital T here and I am not sure she can be trusted and I certainly wouldn't offer her a room when she can go to the shelter. Beggars can't be choosers as they say, an interesting story, love Dolly x x x

Sam needs to tell Rebecca about Taylor right this very minute and he needs to get her into a shelter. Was it Chris who was in the house? I love this story.

Sam crawled on the couch next to her (couch beside her.)

Thanks so much. Trying to build on those unknowns. Sometimes we can get lost in the wilderness, when we go too far reaching out to help others. Blessings and best to you on your interesting plot of a novel.

Such a well written piece, Stan! There were a lot of good literary elements in play, and the suspense was palpable! At this point, I'm sure not wanting Taylor to get in the way, but I don't know how this isn't going to get dicey for Sam and Sarah.

Great job,
Rhonda

The last part left me wondering if the baby is his, hmm. Your story is well, written, very interesting, drew me right in. Your characters seem real, relatable. Makes me sad seeing Sarah so upset. I hope she heals with time. I look forward to reading more.

This is very well written, and I am very much enjoying listening to the story when I see your name come up and I see the stories going on. I want to continue to read and hear the story that you have so cleverly created it. Patricia.

I could really feel both Sam's and Sarah's discomfiture throughout this chapter, Stan. Both seem to be walking on tenterhooks. Sarah because she feels like such a failure in being able to provide children for the happy home she envisions, and Sam for the secret he holds about Taylor. He's unsure of just when he should tell Sarah about her and broach the subject of adoption. Then, when they finally relax on the sofa drinking tea in front of a fire, the phone call comes, and Sam has to play it cool.

I wonder what Sarah overheard. Will this lead to the scene where Sam finally relates the situation to Sarah? I'm anxious to find out. Very nicely written.

Now that could be awkward if she'd, Taylor had made it public that she and Sa were an item, a good opportunity for Sam to allow God to be his defender, but what about Sarah? She may not understand. Well done Stan, blessings Roy
