Hello again Barbara! (Port Raid Review #2)

---This is an adorable story about the perseverance of children when they really want something, and either the power of prayer (if you believe) or the eccentricities of probability (if you don't).
---You did the right thing in refusing Steven the curly fries. But the way an intelligent child thinks is well on display, here. He accepted the fact that you said no to the curly fries, and then had the insight that you had NOT told him no to a gumball. He also knew that a starred gumball would give him his curly fries. This is quite the feat of reason for a child!
---There were just a couple little punctuation things I wanted to point out if you agree:
-----"Lyenochka, one of my favorite authors on FanStory[,] wrote a short story titled, 'Spirit's Nudge'."
-----"Steven enjoyed his curly fries as Andrew[,] and I shook our heads." --This comma is not necessary.

I am enjoying these stories of your family, Barbara! Pookie and I shall be back in a bit with another review!

Eyepatch Patrick (and Pookie)

I will get on those comma errors. I hate commas. LOL I do appreciate the help.

Another charming story in your reminiscing book. It looks like this is the type of book that insists on telling itself. Those are often the best kind!! I just love the interplay over the fries, then Steven prays for and gets curly fries. That was too cute!!

Thanks for sharing,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Ha!
See, God provides. It may have interrupted the lesson, but you have to admit, that was pretty darned cool. Thank you for sharing this memory. Great idea!
God bless,
Steve

God works in mysterious way. Steven is 31 years old and still loves the Lord. That's a huge win. Thank you for the kind review.

    I love that!

What a delightful story. It really brings home the power of prayer. I'm new to FanStory, but will check out Lyenochka's post 'Spirit's Nudge.' Thanks for the tip.

This work has reached the exceptional level

(Lyenochka, one of my favorite author's on FanStory -- no apostrophe needed for authors)

Hahahaha! What a charming story, and I (for one) say, "Why not? Jesus loves it when we call on Him! "

Hugs to that child (no doubt a big man now... *smile.)

Hello Barbara,
How often has God granted us prayers that were frivolous or perhaps not in line with what one would think of as worthy of God's time. Even the most mundane things in our lives are important to the Lord. I'm glad that Steven's prayer was answered in the affirmative. Thanks for sharing this gal.

Hard to argue against success. (as much as you might want to)
This story reminded me of a prayer my son, Steven lifted up while having lunch at Arby's. - Missing a comma after 'Steven'.
Best wishes.

Steven sounds so cute... it reminds me of my grandson, Atticus. Kids know what strings to pull effectively. LoL. Even with God.

Kids are wiser than adults sometimes.

Well done

Steven was a master at pulling strings and at 31 still is. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

What a fantastically cute story. I would be 500 pounds if I knew as a child that praying for food worked.

Kids really do do and say the funniest things. (I said do do)

This was really amusing. What is it with kids that they insist on one thing and then demand the opposite? Who know prayers could be so effective? I hope he still has a grasp on faith like he had at that time.

Steven does still have a strong faith. I think part of it started here. Thank you for the kind review.
