Really like the way this is going. Redemption of ghosts is an interesting twist. I have been on vacation for a time...trying to catch up. Great job making believable characters from ghostly ones!

Glad to see you, Esther. Hope you had a nice time on vacation. Yes, redeeming the ghosts and giving them a chance to escape damnation is better than nothing at all. Thanks so much for the review and the stars. You are awesome.

They are really expecting a lot of Sandra. Can mortals really involve themselves in the existence of ghosts? I am really interested in how you are going to deal with this.

Since the ghosts seem to be doing all the planning, I guess they must be in control of what can and cannot happen within the mansion and the cemetery. I know they need Sandra because they don't leave purgatory. Your guess is as good as mine as to where we will land!!!

Hi Carol, I didn't know you were into the supernatural. But you have certainly ventured into that area with this story. Now, of course, I need to read more although.the supernatural is not my favourite thing. A hug, Ulla xcx

Me either! It didn't start out to be a real supernatural story but somehow it took on a life of its own and here we are. LOL I have no idea what I am doing but everyone seems to enjoy it so that's good. Thanks so much for stopping by to read the chapter.

Well, when I think it's gone about as far as possible, you turn up the heat even more. I guess that means a reporter's work is never done. Of course, most of them just bend the truth to suit themselves. Come to think of it, isn't that what we do too. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Are you telling me that yu are bending the truth when you say you like my ghost story? Well, I'm bending the truth when I say I can write it too! LOL But we are having fun so that's all that counts... Thanks so much for being so nice to me!

Not at all, my dear. I enjoy everything you write. Lawrence Block wrote numerous books for writers, and two that come to mind are, "The Liar's Bible" and "Telling Lies for Fun and Profit." They both pretty much explain why the best writers are so good. LOL. Smiles and hugs back at you, Ric

at first I was struggling to know who was real and who were ghosts from the past, but the fianl part helped to clarify a lot, and now I see better the relationships and purpose of their visits, and why Sandra. I don't normally read ghost stories, so this is a first and it's an interesting concept of interweaving the spirit world with the real one. Well done.

That makes two of us, Wendy! I don't usually write ghosts stories and I doubt that I will again. This started out to be a crime story and it gained a life of its own. Guess we both get to see where it goes. LOL Thanks so much for continuing to read.

Well, revelations are given and I sense there is the start of wrapping things up as the heroine realizes that she's been interacting with ghosts. This sort of reminds me of Rhonda's book about Echo who is also a brave young reporter who has been given a special mission to save a world.

Oh, Rhonda's writing quite the story with her supernatural characters. I don't usually write this type or story or read her type of story, but guess what...life teaches us to learn knew things. I am actually enjoying Rhonda's very much. Thanks for stopping by, Helen. I always appreciate it.

This is a revealing chapter. Sandra is finally getting information on why she was selected to own the mansion. I am as surprised as Sandra that James is a ghost. I suspected all along that Lorrie was a spirit, because of the way she could pop up exactly when Sandra needed her.

I have never considered reading a ghost story, but you have made this quite compelling. The ghosts have an extraordinary mission and purpose that requires mortal intervention. I'm truly enjoying your creative talent.

Thanks so much, Lorraine. I wasn't a ghost story person either so I can't really tell you how I got wrapped up in this one. Maybe Lorrie suggested it. LOL I hope I do it justice.

You are doing a terrific job of writing a ghost story. This is still your best writing so far. I'm enjoying it immensely, and I check every day to see if you have written more. Way to go, my friend.

Thank you, April. It's the scariest one I've written so far. LOL Not only the ghosts but figuring out how to write it. All new territory to me. Thanks so much for your support and encouragement.

Dear (should I insert another wrong name here as I did last review to my total chagrin?) ---

Okay, Dear CAROL--(whew)

For a woman who was diving into the deep end of this entire genre of ghosts and things that go bump in the night, look at all you have accomplished.

This is another jam-packed chapter, with tons of information I read through three times just to enjoy the masterful unraveling of the tale!

Of course, Sandra is up to the task!

I can't wait to read what happens next!

Good thing you got my name right, because today I might not have known for sure. LOL I have gotten some awesome reviews from people who just jumped into the middle of this story and love it. It's still a struggle but that's okay as long as people like what the final chapter looks like. It's funny because this is actually where the story would have started if my mine hadn't went off on a tangent..... Glad you are still liking it.

This has become quite different from anything you've written before Carol, the style is different, these earthbound spectres seeking redemption, or eternal rest, and there connection is this young girl Sandra, they'll have to keep her safe, well done Carol, blessings Roy
