So, everone but james and lorrie are ghosts. Other people see James, and lorrie cooks. I would have told all of them I am selling the damn house today, unless you convince me right now not to. No more bullshit, Karen........ but that's just me

Hi Carol,
I decided to drop another review. I may do that more often even if for no other reason, then to let me know where I am, sort of a virtual bookmark.
A really exciting chapter, spooky, spooky!! Who's threatening Sandra???? Hmmm. we'll have to find out, lol.
I may be morbid, but this line made me chuckle:
Go home! Unless you want to make the cemetery your permanent address. ~ Now there's a warning!!!

Good morning, Rhonda
My apologies for my delay in responding, but life's dramas have overtaken me a bit.... that and a bout with poison ivy as I try to clear my yard of it. As it stands, the weeds and ivy are winning! I was shocked to see all the reviews you have left so I am anxious to read on. thank you!

Awwww, poor Carol!! I understand about the weeds. We've had so much rain, and I mean bucketfuls and over several weeks, that we haven't been able to plant much. I do have a very healthy crop of weeds, though.

This is a good chapter for getting across the idea that Sandra is REALLY curious and dogged in her determination to find out what is going on. I don't think she would rub her head and scream and speak to Lorrie. The scream seems unlikely as she has taken the time to rub the bump on her head first. She doesn't seem anxious about the judge being there even though she already knows he is dead.

Hmm...looks like I will need to rethink a little on this one. Told you ghosts aren't my thing. Or how Sandra would react. Been busy with the girls but back home by Sunday so my head will get into the writing mode again.

This is another excellent chapter. You do know how to write good and evil. Now I am reading you also do supernatural and natural. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

I hope that I am getting the supernatural down since this is truly my first big attempt at doing so. The good and evil just seems to be part of my life. LOL Thanks so much!

Finally I'm getting a chance to get caught up. This is a great chapter. I especially noticed the vivid descriptions and the heightened mystery.
flickering lights or torches in the distance. They seemed to be moving. Curious, she stopped the car and got out
(No no no, has she NEVER watched a horror flick before. Haha!)
walls with a ((soft)) and warm glow. The plush carpet beneath her feet made her feel like she was walking on a ((soft)) cloud
(I recommend rewording one of these)
Felt like a plot hole: why did she not question or even think to herself about who the supposedly dead judge was sitting next to her in her car. I think this is the first time seeing him since finding out that he (or the real Judge) had passed away.
Fantastic job!! :-)

The men in the room below do at least seem to be concerned for Sandra's safety - but she must be very confused, and more than a little frightened with all that's happening. Wondering if Madeline put the note there - she's quite brazen having such an amorous kiss in public so soon after her husband's death. Who else noticed, I wonder?

Madeline is one of those women got rich from marrying Noah and now thinks the world is hers to do as she wishes. She will get her comeuppance, I assure you. Yes, the men are worried about how their actions will affect Sandra but they need her help.
Hope you had a wonderful day!

I'm glad to see you kept posting your story and didn't put it on the shelf like you said you might last week. Hope you got out on the beach and soaked up a little sun. Thanks for sharing.

HAPPY EASTER!
We had a slight change in plans because my granddaughter got sick, but she's better today and the sun is shining bright. We have a condo rented for the week and I can't wait to get there.

But if Judge Parker is dead, resumed murdered, ho come he was at the cemetery, and why hadn't he seen the lights, more than that, why had he risen from the dead, as it were? Beautifully written, blessings, Roy

You are about to find out...the next two chapters should be interesting! I promise! And how come only Sandra can see him except for the people at the house? So many questions....
Thanks so much, Roy!

Comment from Sandra Stoner-Mitchell
I hope she will get some answers. I want them!! LOL. Now what were they doing with the torches in the cemetry? Who were they? What is the Judge up to? They brought Sandra to the mansion, so they must be honest with her. It's not fair if she keeps stumbling on things that could put her life in danger. That note, I reckon that came from Madeline, or one of her cronies. She's a nasty piece of work. I think her husband needs digging up so they can find out what she has done, she obviously murdered him. So many questions, Carol, needing a few clues for me to suss out. Lol. Well done, my friend, another fabulous chapter. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Hello. Sandra. I am hoping to lay it out on the table in the next chapter or two...then the fun shall begin accomplishing so much and solving the murder of Noah. I hope I can give the store it's due...writing about ghosts is a tough one at least for me.

love having ghosts in my books, they can do more than the living can. I'm looking forward to that chapter. xxxx

You , my dear friend, can do more with one finger with your ghosts then I can possibly imagine. But thanks for the encouragement.

This is good writing and I'm glad you didn't let whot one person said discourage you from continue. I love a good mystery and this seems to be one that is supernatural as well

Thanks, Beth. I am about to ramp up the ante in the next chapter or two. Things will become a bit clearer about the ghosts but there's always so much more. Hope your weekend is going well.
