I'm still laughing, that ending was unexpected and right to the point, I loved it. As a dog owner with a dog who loves balls and the beach I was able to identify with your writing. I think it was a universal article that most people can identify with and enjoy. I enjoyed it very much, but the ending was great. words were simple and flowed nicely, no boring parts and it came together so well. Still smiling about the ending lol

I thought your story was funny and written in a way that holds the reader's interest. As I read the writing prompt for the contest, it said the stories were supposed to be G rated, and suitable for children. So, I guess, you pushed that envelope a tad. LOL

I liked this piece, although I could see where it was going it played out nicely. good pacing.
you could add to the readability of this piece by inserting clear lines between your paragraphs. Makes for a cleaner write which is more easily followed on screen.
Rex my three- year- old Golden Retriever - I would insert commas after Rex and Retriever here.
Gail a schoolteacher suggested that we meet later- I would have commas around a school teacher here.
I was a nice guy agreed and Rex loved his playtime away from me.- put commas around agreed here.
hot dogs on a stick and ate potatoes chips. - potato chips.
