That really sums up the situation, for many a little bundle of joy; crying as just a general expression of complaint and unhappiness, having no other outlet of expression. Or, sometimes, it could be that the child really does know what's bothering him or her, but can't explain it. It's the parent or other caregiver who doesn't know.
And the sigh often follows a good cry!

Anyone who has ever raised a child can relate to your 1-6-1. I am reliving, right now, that sense of helplessness and anxiety. That's a lot to say about a poem, especially such a short one. Excellent job.

Such a creative 1-6-1. There is nothing more frustrating than having a baby, child or animal cry or whimper and you know not what to do because you do not know the reason for the cry. I know they feel the frustration too. Great job!
