This was a good write, IndianaIrish. I really liked the flow of it and the message was real food for thought. We don't know how our words affect others or inspire them. Nice job.

Poetry is subjective, as it should be. Our words can touch others in ways we never imagined. And that's the beauty of it all. They can morph into whatever the reader's mind needs at that moment. And even touch his heart. Pure magic.

the trick, as you already know, is to say a lot with fewer words, but 17 syllables!

Interesting write on the power of writing and words. There are so many words in our English language to choose from; it's quite a vast study I don't think you every graduate from. Learning new words everyday is suggested from your piece and inspires me to keep learning and writing, because words and writing is a wonderful gift! Your poem is an inspiration. Nice! I'm not one to believe in magic so I might swap that word with another as I truly believe words come from the heart and soul into our mind to produce on paper, not by magic. Otherwise, I can take from this. Best,
