You have been developing this story beautifully and it is easy to like the main characters. A developing romance is hard to beat, as well. I like the mix of romance, danger, and mystery. It is not possible to predict what is going to happen next. The tension is building. Another well-written chapter, Barbara, with no edits noted. :-)

The porch sitting, first her dad and then Noah is an amusing part of the story making it clear she is a girl who speaks her mind. Noah seems to have given up on the idea of maintaining his distance. Sami is way to appealing for his "rules" to work.

Sami broke Noah down. He's just attempting some to remain within boundaries. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

I'm getting nervous about Noah's job. I keep getting the feeling he is going to get hurt. I like how Noah and semi's relationship is developing. She acts like a little girl around noah... it's cute.

Well done, I enjoyed the chapter.

Hi Barbara,
this was an interesting chapter. I thought it was great the way Sami blurted out her feelings about the meeting with Big T. I do wonder how it will work for law enforcement to be working with one gangster, even temporarily and overlook the obvious crime that Big T is engaged in after this all goes down. Well done gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Sami gets indoctrinated into the complex and risky world of police work here. You are setting the stage for a showdown somewhere ahead, as Noah's team prepares to intervene and rescue some of the girls from Chen. But I don't know if real police would be able to make a deal with a criminal like Big T. It's unethical. At the same time, Sami and Noah are continuing to cuddle up to each other, and we get that burst from here when she finds out that Noah is getting into a potentially dangerous situation. So we see her feelings getting stronger. estory

Real police do it all the time undercover. They even make drug deals and do worse. Thank you for the kind review.

I like the spontaneity of Sami in this chapter. Her quip about rushing him at the door because she was starving. Very fun atmosphere to this chapter even though it was full of implied danger. Really am enjoying this one. Gretchen

Sorry I missed the last chapter. It was goos. I did read it but no review. You have top score there, anyway. This was an interesting read. Getting into the thick of things.
Just one of those American things in errors. "I don't want you to[o]."

Thank you for going back to read that chapter. I didn't have as many reviews on it as I normally do. I was starting to worry. Thank you for the kind review on this one.

I could sense Sami's frustration at not being involved in the big decisions, especially when she feared that Noah might be putting himself in danger. This is another tense, fast moving chapter, Barbara. I just have one suggestion here, "There's no way, you're meeting with Big T by yourself." I think I would remove the comma before you're. An excellent chapter, looking forward to the next installment.

You are 100% correct about that comma. Not sure how it got there. LOL I appreciate the catch. Thank you.

I still can't quite manage to accept that they've only met less than three weeks ago. Sami is acting like a young and petulant teenager wanting to cuddle up with him, and putting her opinion in as though they were already married or had at least known each other for quite a while with an established realtionship. Noah has to be very patient with her impetuosity. Yet she's 25, and needs to accept that it's not her place to interfere. Anyway ... I am enjoying the read!

Edit: "I don't want you too." (to)

Sami has four older sisters. She is the baby. Thank you for the kind review and I made the correction. I appreciate the help.

What a fantastic chapter. It looks like they have a solid plan to engage the main bad guys and it seems realistic to me.

We shall see what occurs next week.
