In this chapter, Noah walks the fine line between the tensions of his job and its protocols, and the softer side of dealing with the emotional Sami and her affections for him. As well as the political correctness of having to worry about getting with harassment charges for hugging a woman. Maybe a comment on today's complicated social norms. The fine line comes out through the dialogue, which is your forte, and is crisp as usual. The dangers of confronting these gangs of thugs is on full display here too. It really is a tribute to law enforcement, and what they have to go through to keep us all safe. estory

Hello Barbara,
this was a pretty exciting chapter. I'm surprised that they haven't nabbed Chin before now. If they didn't have enough evidence before, they do now I suppose. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening. Enjoy your time with family.
Tom

This work has reached the exceptional level

Things are certainly heating up for this crew. I like the contrast between the shootings and then into the hug conversation. Somehow made the story seem much more real.

Looking forward to the next one.

This is a really well written portion of the story. Who knew a hug could cause such problems? Yet the rule makes sense in this situation. Chen seems like he knows a little too much about Noah's group.

Hi Barbara, could chapter, but if I may make a small sugestions for this female intelligence in the passage below:"
Before Noah could answer, Sami rushed from her room. "Noah!" She started to throw her arms around his neck but stopped. She turned, went straight to her room, and slammed the door. "Sorry."

Noah sighed. "She's an emotional female." He held up a sack. "I brought dinner. It's hard deciding what to bring for a group of people. I settled on a Mexican buffet."
Did you meant she's an emotional wreak?

As in all your stories the main male character is surrounded by a supportive team helping him overcome the villains of the piece, providing a great wall around Sami, beautifully written, blessings Roy

It's good that Noah has great people all around him, from a concerned and protective boss and wonderful, understanding people who work for him. I guess an occasional hug will be okay from now.

I think more hugging is going to happen. Sami will wear Noah down. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

A deeply emotional chapter where we see team members hurt or in danger because of their affiliation with Noah while he was under cover. We see the use of code names referring to Wyatt Erp and the others.
A discussion as to whether or not it's appropriate to show affection between Sami and Noah. All good subjects and insight into relationships.

Hugs,
Rhonda

No worries. You are doing fine. I just returned home, I had a mess occur in my kitchen, a burst pipe. My kitchen and family room are being reconstructed and my family and me have spent the last week in a hotel. I like the added frustration of the potential complication of Noah and Sami catching feelings for each other. I am curious to see how that works out.
