A love turned bad.

Love on the break

by Thomas Bowling

Love on the Break

Why do you do me this way?

Tell me what did I say

To make you want to go away?

How much more can I take?

How many times must my heart break?

I'd walk past my Mother and my Father

Just to get to you

I wish I had known from the start

You would break my heart

I could have saved a lot of tears

And wasted years

Every time you hold me close

You're the one I want the most

But I know you don't feel the same

At night I hear you calling her name

Must be love on the break

Why must you treat me so bad

You're the best I ever had

But you don't love me

Are you just a mistake

So my heart must break

I feel like a fool

I'd walk through fire

Just to be with you

But you won't let me inside

Baby you know that's where I want to be

When you're ready to love me

Give me a call

I'll still be waiting

In spite of it all

How much more can I take?

I'm sure you never loved me

That's the way it must be

And now I see

It's easy to see

In spite of what you mean to me

How much more can I take?

It's over before

Over before

it began

Now you love another man
