Insights I wish I had from day one.
Welcome to the FanStorian family

Welcome to FanStory Contest Winner
First of all, let me say, “WELCOME WRITER” from a FanStorian who has been here since 2014.
This is a website that was created for you. We welcome you as you are, but greet you with the stated goal of helping you to become even better.
This is a website that may be unlike any other you have been a part of. This is an incredibly active site. It has been structured such that you can receive a great deal of interaction concerning your writings if you are willing to review others.
- This is a place for Wannabes
- This is a place for Readers
- This is a place for Intellectuals
- This is a place for Training
- This is a place for Education
- This is a place for Religious
- This is a place for Secular
I'd like to give you just a few pointers you might want to treasure or trash.
1. Many of us on this site are old. Clearly legible font style & size matters. (I personally use Georgia 16)
2. We are urged to use a picture when submitting a literary work. At first I didn't but I think it has been helpful. (Most do). You may use your own picture or use FanArtReview free.
3. One of the best ways for us to improve as writers is to both read and review other peoples work. When you review, you will be interacting with new people, while gaining both friends and "fans" who will support you. You will earn FanStory money to use to promote your work, then you will receive more reviews and enlarge your own footprint.
4. Be "Kind" even when you would like to "Kill". L.O.L. Believe it or not, not everyone will LOVE your work. Don't get discouraged, some will love it and you already do!
5. Become "buddies", become "fans", follow, interact beyond the basic thank you.
6. Nominate writers giving meaningful feedback for reviewer of the month.
7. If you don't see a contest that appeals to you, create one that does.
8. Vote in all contests.
9. Explore and embrace the uniqueness of the diverse FanStory community.
10. Enjoy your first six star rating because they are more rare than one would hope.
11. If you find an exceptional piece that you love, save it for future reference in your bookcase.
P.S. When you feel ready to qualify for that professional level you may submit a "Seal of quality Request". Best of luck. Embrace the love from above.

I realize today, 10 years into this, I am a much better writer than I was on day one.
I realize today, 10 years into this, I have my FanStorian family to "Blame" for my improvement. THANKS
