    I hardly know what to say, but it probably doesn?t matter, because I doubt if anyone will ever read this. I?m crying as these words are flowing onto the screen.
    The blame for this contest win, falls squarely on the shoulders of my FanStorian sister. (AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!)
    I have been very reluctant to submit my work for a long time as a matter of fact, this was my second submission since September 11, 2021. (Something devastated me with my last submission and I have told nobody about it.)
    I saw this contest, and I reluctantly reached out to her and asked her opinion as to whether or not, I should submit an entry. (actually, I guess I was a little boy at heart seeking affirmation from my triplet sister. I already knew what her answer was going to be, because she had been urging me for a while to get back in the pool.

    schatzling: I just wanted to personally thank you from the bottom, the middle, and the top (smile) of my heart for selecting my drawing to accompany your poem entitled "What Should I Believe". I enjoyed reading your poem.
    I liked it a lot. Thanks again.not only for selecting my drawing but for your comment as well. So many times photos or artwork gets selected and the person who actually took the photo or drew the Art fails to get mentioned at all, which is actually quite sad,...at least I think so. Therefore, I just wanted to let you know how much I truly appreciate you doing that.

Dr. Nad: I have never tried to publish anything. How would I go about doing that?
    Elizabeth Quigley: You must submit. Which mags. do you think publish similar material? Find them on internet and they will have a page listing their requirements. You can submit to more than 1 at a time but if you are accepted by 1, you must notify other place where you have submitted immediately.

    Don't get discouraged. Almost all authors have to submit numerous times before being accepted. Being accepted can be result of editor's mood, number of submissions, etc.
    An editor can receive literally hundreds to thousands of submission, so luck is also involved. BUT, nothing ventured, nothing gained! Good luck! -
    DIS-illusioned: Go to a publishing house, point out someone you think knows what they're doing, hand your manuscript to this professional and say, "Publish this!"
    If that doesn't work, try another publishing house ....

    Word Junkie: It depends on what you want published. My advice to you is to find a good book at Amazon that covers the ins and outs of publishing, explaining your options, and so forth and so on. There's more than one path to publication. Some are more fruitful and gratifying than others. Scroll through the reviews at Amazon, and buy that book.

    ShyWri: Are you in Atlanta or Athens? If Athens, take a sample of what you'd like to have published to Will Walton at Avid Books and ask for pointers. He is a published novelist and might be able to point you to a good agent. He can also tell you about a self-publishing company that small book sellers use. If you're in Atlanta, there must be a lot of good agents.

    Dr. Nad: Thanks to everyone who responded to my initial offering on my profile page. I don't have a clue where you picked it up from or how I would pick up on yours unless I went to your personal profile page. BBBUUUUUTTTTT LET ME SAY THIS!!!!
    Over the years since I have had a computer I have looked several times for a place to submit my VERY INFREQUENT poetry to see if ANYONE, (besides me), liked what I have written. At the end of October I found several Poetry sites but I didn't want to pay my good money for the privilige of submitting my stuff and never hearing from anyone about it. I decided to join a site (Nameless because I don't remember the Name), but it was so convoluded to join it spit me out. I did get an email saying they saw where I had tried to submit my credit card. No offer of help or I would have gone with them. On November 1, 2014 I took some of my birthday money and joined something called FanStory. My family has never been into poetry or really encouraged me in mine, (I am probably alone in this, LOL). But YOU MY FRIENDS, have told me NOT to put my quill down, THANKS !!! YOU have made me BELIEVE that I am not just the typical parent that thinks their kid is stronger, cuter, more intelegent and better in every way than they are. I have just put out the first poem, (That Silly Age Spot on my NOSE), I have ever tried to do what you have encouraged me to do; COUNT SYLABLES. It doesn't seem to flow for me as well as my old style of :"Willy Nilly". OH well . . . as much as I have written on this entry I KNOW CYBERSPACE AND I ARE THE ONLY ONES STILL READING so I'm out!
