Participants were ask to create an epic poem. An epic poem should be a narrative that tells a story, typically about extraordinary events, deeds or adventures of characters that are often based on historical events or real people. Longfellow's "Paul Revere's Ride" would be an example of an epic poem. Epic poems typically rhyme and are long. Participants were asked to draft a rhyming poem of at least 40 lines.
