valerieellis: I am a 42 year old single female who lives in the "hollers" of Kentucky with my 2 dogs: Bella (Jack Russel Terrier) and Gracie (pittbull/mastiff puppy). I recently underwent tremendous trauma (health) due to a surgery that went horribly wrong. I am truly a miracle! I have survived coma, life support, 11 surgeries, over 160 days in the hospital, and death 5 times in just 18 months. I have always enjoyed reading, writing, and art but am currently only able to focus on writing and reading short writings since my cognitive function limits my ability to focus, remember, and comprehend. Writing has certainly become a source of healing for me and I am filled with gratitude for life in each word that I type and share with others. I pray others can find inspiration and hope in the writings I share.

I really enjoy reading and reviewing other writings but as I stated, am only able to read and comprehend short writings (mostly poems and short stories) at this time. I apologize in advance if my reviews seem redundant or if I do not review or respond to all of my fan's (or those who I am a fan of) writings. I read longer writings in bits and pieces but simply cannot remember or comprehend what I have read and a review from me would be unfair. Have a blessed day :)

    I too had a situation, not as traumatic as yours, but it left me with a changed persona. I no longer enjoy the things I once did, which included reading or interest in life in general. I just recently began writing again. -
