GregRedd: I realise now, somewhat belatedly it seems, that FS contest entries don't receive any judges feedback or even a comment from the contest committee. Probably naive of me, but I imagined one of the chief advantages for entering writing to a contest here would be to get some useful feedback from those wiser in the way of the word than I? C'est la vie. |

GregRedd: Just had my 'Warlord' piece described as "a nice poetry"? While that wasn't exactly what I was aiming for with my journal tale of a psycho drug addicted megalomaniac kidnapper warlord, I do appreciate all the comments I've been getting here. Yes, even those that I don't quite understand! Thank you all. |

GregRedd: Day 1 done. 3500-odd words. |

Great to find a fellow country woman here. Yip, I made the rookie error of posting a prologue and looong first chapter all at the same time. And I did it before spending enough time on the site to figure out the norms. Luckily I am a quick study and have set myself a maximum word target of 1500 per posting. Something that will also force me to work harder on writing sharp and short. Thanks for the welcome. Greg - | ||
