Hello from her muse.

The above photo is of me, since Wendy is still trying to figure out how to get hers from the scanner to the computer.

She is a former Southern California gal who moved to the other South to open Rose Hill Bed and Breakfast (aha!) in Roanoke VA. She couldn't afford a house large enough in San Diego and thought the mid-life change of career and scenery would give her more time to write. Another on a long list of Wendy's Misconceptions.

She is enjoying her sojourn here. She just has to make sure that the sheets are ironed and the floors waxed before I am allowed to talk to her or she to listen. She has a tendency to get caught up and then guests could arrive to find the beds unmade and the vacuum sitting in the middle of the hall. So she often writes late at night while the world sleeps. Up long before dawn, she tries to scribble on a very quiche-stained, cranberry-dotted,flour-encrusted note pad, but only if it will fit between baking and when those hungry guests come down the stairs.

Poetry is her first love and she is a stodgy, unrepentant, true rhymer who is also--as some of you may have learned-- a stickler about rhythm. She blames her intransigence on age-- but I'm afraid that I am the culprit.

Her hair is a mess right now so I have added my icon instead of a photo. She said that if she ever gets any younger she will post her own picture instead.
