I have been writing and drawing since I could hold a pencil, and I can honestly say that sometimes it is more of a compulsion than anything.
I write quite prolifically and currently have a variety of books started in different genres including a children's book, a murder mystery, an autobiography, a teen novel, and more including an endless array of poetry spanning 34 of my nearly 40 years of life. I also have a blog that I use as a diary and that I have been told would make a good book as it stands.
My art is created in a multitude of mediums and styles including graphite, colored pencil, chalk and oil pastel, crayon, watercolor, pen and ink, as well as 3 dimensional mediums, (i.e. clay, wood, metal, etc...). I also work with photography and digital graphic arts. I had my first art show showcasing a series of masks and accompanying poems when I was 20 and had some of my work included in another show a year later. Since then I have not sought to have any of my work showcased or displayed until recently.
In general, my creative expression burbles out in interesting and often unexpected ways.
