![]() azwildrosa: inspiring, three syllables or four? my dictionary says three, but it sounds like four to me. what do you think? |

But what the dictionary says, and how people often pronounce certain words, can be two different things. I hear "in-spy-uh-ring" all the time in everyday conversation, which has four syllables. But if this question relates to cadence in a poem, I think I'd go with three syllables and let Merriam-Webster defend me in court... -
i did use it as three, felt right and am now glad i have. I also did it because the dictionary said it was three. i stink a these kinds of things. i trust that book like many trust the bible. -

azwildrosa: happy new year everyone. i hope you all had a safe one. as for me, it snowed making it cold. the night was still a great one. dancing in the cold is better than standing in the cold. had my own little built in heater. |

![]() azwildrosa: it's overcast today, the wind is blowing, and the threat of snow is upon us. my four year old has been saying for weeks, mom, when is it going to snow? i think i can give him an answer now. let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... |

azwildrosa: words on paper confer a kind of immortality. wouldn't all of us love to have a journal, a memoir, a letter, from those we have loved and lost? shouldn't all of us leave a bit behind? ~anna quindlen, writer |

azwildrosa: bisbee arizona desert after a few good rains. i never thought i'd live in a desert that had so much green. i've lived in 29 palms and ridgecrest california, each place offering little rain and very little snow. i get the best of everything here. i love this place. :) |

![]() azwildrosa: i went dancing last night after spending a brutal two hours of belly dancing the night before. has your body ever been so warn out, it says to you "what the hell are you doing?" yes, that's how it felt as i danced to the band named ruckous. i love to dance, my body can't help but to get lost in the music. |
