This sounds good, Iza, I saw your latest part and decided to look for the first chapter. We won't know for a while whether we are immortal or not, too soon after having my first vaccine and still waiting for the second jab. I like your thinking, and will look for the next part. Well done, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

New day, old day, same day! - how awful if everything were perfect. it's life's dramas, unexpected challenges and difficulties to be overcome, chance encounters for good or bad, that make life worth living.
A life without icecream would be terrible - no wonder there was a resistance movement. Mmmmm.... berry nice icecream!

Comment from Loren .
This is a thought provoking read, indeed. It could almost go under the heading of philosophical as well. And, probably, most frightening about the premise of the story is that it is something mankind seems to be striving for and seems (in vain, in my opinion) within his reach. One does begin to wonder where sci-fi fantasy ends and reality begins. Loren

This is such an awesome story of a negative?positive?....utopia!
I sooooo wish a whole book came out of this! I want to know what happens next. If you decide to continue this, please let me know.
Such thought provoking...a world in which you can't even commit suicide...
There is something genius about the ice-cream code word to look for those who remember. But who cares about berry flavor? Chocolate!!! ;)
Thank you for the most fascinating piece of sci-fi!
Warmly,
J

That is a good idea, maybe I should try to continue this story in a book:)
-
Yes, you could make it a whole novel! I'd love that! Do you have the capacity right now to start a bigger project like that?
-
I will try:)

Dear 'Mystery' writer,
If only. No matter what the future holds, I'm hoping there will always be some people who choose to rebel - even if only a wee bit -- and eat ice cream. haha
This was a fun entry. Good luck!

This futuristic story, Fun-tastic, has an inverted plot line where the 'perfection' of the future is challenged, and the imperfection and uncertainty of living is the new dream. Cool.

You wrote a very imaginative and engaging story!! You created a problem based on not having problems and though everything is perfect and everyone is immortal, there is a need for a "resistance!" Best wishes in the contest!

The future, oh the future...I like this line because it carries lots of truth, and fear. "Life in plastic, is fantastic..." Your lines reflect a good imagination. Great sense of unreality.
