Any death is traumatic and impacts our soul. This poem draws the heartstrings like nothing I have read lately. I can picture the scene in my mind's eye. Well written!

Oh dear...this is truly some terrible tragedy. You were able to bring out beautiful poetry about it. The image you describe is abundant in love and compassion. Blessings.

This is sad to hear of a life ended tragically. There are so many things on the news to make you feel bad. My daughter refused to listen to the news but I don't think we can't make bad things go away by not listening. We have hopes of a better world. You've told the story well in your poem.

I am glad this poem begins prosaically, it puts clearly in place where we are in this horrible world of fake news.
I am even gladder when your words turn whimsical, and then even move to totally against the sorrowful truth. you show strong imagination and hope, even where there is none.

Wow... such a haunting visage you've painted for us here, my lady... A very well-done free verse to convey an awful message... But thanx for lending your talented pen! ;) Yvette
