This is a marvelous replication of what goes on in my car. You missed one of the most important events: my wife never fails to tell me where and how to park. I NEVER park it to her satisfaction. My male friends tell me that their wives always do this very thing, also.

Does this behavior have something to do with women's nesting instincts?

The dialogue is spot on. Jeff Watkins

Thank you so much for the stars and the review. You have to remember that Bill was complaining about Peggy's driving as well so it isn't the woman only who isn't satisfied. The story is pretty much true, and I changed my name to Peggy. LOL I appreciate the six stars.

I'm learning about script writing by reading other people's posts.
I saw one error, but couldn't spot it when I went back to comment..
Interesting script, and you both made it through the trip.
Just remember this - if you didn't have all those stops, you would have been in a major accident. God sent some delays.
Best regards, Dick

Thanks for giving me the fifteenth review on this post and pushing it to the recognized status. I was hoping you might find it amusing but you might be right. God using has a way of protecting his children whether they acknowledging it or not.

I enjoyed reading your contest entry. I understand. My husband developed a seizure disorder later in life and can't drive for six months after a seizure. He doesn't take me driving well. LOL Good luck with the contest.

I think driving is one of things that makes the other partner nervous more than most anything. I have a problem relaxing when someone else is driving because I've gotten use to having the wheel. I make my children as nervous as they make me. Thanks for the great review.

Dear Beth, it is a delight for me to know you can write a script as excellently funny as this one!
Knowing that it was loosely based on a true incident makes it even more delightful.

Lol! This was a super script, Beth! I'm so happy you entered the contest. I also remember the incident of hitting the tree from your memoirs. And that kind of interaction between couples is so typical about driving. Best wishes in the contest!

Minor nit of extra period here:
I've had.It.

Thank you so much for the review and for the six stars. Yep, It's basically all true. The incident at Walmart really happened and the cop didn't give us a ticket when I claimed responsibility for yelling at him. He did cross two lanes of traffic and narowly miss getting hit.

This is a cute script with a surprise ending. It flows beautifully and it is easy to see in one's mind's eye as each thing happens. This was an enjoyable read,

(typos: be quite s/b quiet; drivers seat s/b drivers; remove comma: promised them (,) we'd bring.)

Delightfully snide 'n' snarky! Priceless: I can hear you biting your tongue. What a punch at the end--OUCH! Love it. Cheers. LIZ

'Besides, the last time we went somewhere, I had to remind you where we were going, twice. You're getting forgetful.' and 'That was forty years ago. Are you never going to forget that? ' and 'There was no one coming for miles in either direction. (After not stopping for a stop sign.) Peggy is a pistol.

I love the cop's last line! 'Maybe you'd better let your wife drive.'

Enjoyed!

I recently gave up my drivers license when I turned eighty five. My son is my chauffeur now and I don't need to drive anymore. I ended it with a perfect record. No accidents and no tickets in over 70 years of driving. I am proud of that, but when Jim was home he always did the driving. He was an excellent driver and I always felt safe with him. LOL This was fun and I can see it happening, Beth. Well done. Nancy:)

Thank you, Nancy. This is pretty close to a true story. The conversation sounds like my husband and I, and the incident with the police really happened. I'm glad you like it.

Hahahaha, Beth, I liked this. I loved the ending when the cop says he should let his wife drive next time. Wonderful.
He opens eyes.= He opens his eyes.
Great entry for the contest and good luck. Ulla:)))
