A lovely rhyming poem Trish, lovely rhythm and beautiful thoughts. I was lucky to find that one that made my world complete and in these days without him - my heart aches -
valda.

So seldom does one find their soulmate, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't keep looking. Love can happen when you least expect it. Good meter and rhyme. "Maybe mine" should be "may be mine."

A very well-written rhyming poem about searching for loved and maybe have a second chance of true love is not always easy at an older age. There are a few that have such chance and they should take that chance.

Ah, a classic atmosphere. Searching for a soul mate is tough work. That last line however feels a bit of a let down. Then again love can be that way sometimes.

(typos: of which s/b of whom; maybe mine s/b may be; tweak lines for flow--reduce syllable count (line 4 sugg: Completion to my lonely days) Rhyme and rhythm are a bit off; sentiments are poignantly conveyed! Cheers. LIZ

Your poem reads well, although poignant, BL. There is good flow, good rhymes, and great imagery. I agree with what you state. You give readers much to think about in a good way. Sharing a smile or their time is great, and who knows. . .?
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Finding love and friendship in new relationships is a hard task.
I enjoyed the 'search' that your poem provided.
Wouldn't it be great if when we met someone new the "I am that person of which you speak' would ring loudly in our ears!
Enjoyed!

One gets a sense of heartache and yearning from your poem. I like the way you have reinforced it with the subtle echo of occasional internal rhyme.
I guess one has to cast a line out to catch a fish!

My line was cast, the boot was bigger than the fish! I?m too old to cast .another line. Thanks for your kind review, Tony - if the poem gave you that sense, then my objective was met.
