Oh, how I wish that were possible all the time -- sometimes, yeah, but sometimes things plague the heart and mind and it's easier to read a fiction novel than to face the dreams we know may come... :) A wonderful offering of what we wish we could do - best of luck in the contest! ;) Yvette

Hi Sally, I loved this 15 syllable s poem. It's not only beautifully written but it is also so very well said. Yes, I can identify with it. It's a great entry for the contest. Good luck. Ulla:)))

How do you do it? My troubles and my pain keep me up at night, it's been bad lately. I wish I could let go, and find peace like you. Thank you for sharing.

I give my cares to Jesus. Chamomile tea helps, too. It calmed the central nervous system. Brew a cup before bedtime. The music is my nighty night song. :)

So true! I actually have a pretty hard time with this, not always due to negative thoughts but just thoughts in general running through my head. Great work on this piece and good luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing. Later daze.

How do you do that, Sally? I find that what happened during the day is winded up and restarted when I try to sleep. A constant churning of words, flashes of meaningless insights of what I should have done. Then, as I sleep, something wakes me up! I sleep maybe 3 to 4 hours then it's wake-up, go yo sleep, wake-up----etc. I envy you. Good offering for the 15 Syllable Poem contest. :) Take care.

Here's my evening RX: Give everything to the Lord: Woriies, cares, sickness, disasters and disappointing reviews. (Ha ha....) We all have stuff that needs to be handed over to God for only he can change most things. I keep a to-do list which includes what Id like to write for the week. Write it down so your brain will rest. Drink chamomile tea before bedtime. It calms the central nervous system naturally. Valerian root is good tea at bedtime, but check with your doctor on this one especially if you take a sedative. I take one anti-seizure drug for migraines and that's it. Everything else is natural and homeopathic. I'm glad you enjoyed my poem and nighty night song. This particular song puts me out.

It's an excellent poem which shows how letting go of things that upset one would bring peace. This is so easy to relate with. Fine presentation of your work. Good luck!

Lucky you - I can't let go at the end of the day. I'm a very hyper person. The good thing is all that nervous energy enables me to work out every day. I usually work out an hour every morning. Anyway, this is a lovely posting. Hugs, Lou

Such a beautiful poem. Even though it was short, your feelings were very well expressed. We all need to let go of our worries and have a peaceful sleep.
