I love this! I know that Melodie has been through a lot, as I also have, and thus it speaks to me as well. It's marvelous that you penned this in her honor, and it shines a legitimate beacon of hope, focused very much on the healing power of Melodie's ability to translate her trials and emotions into her writing, which she does so well, and which so many of us aim to do. The poem, the coloring and the picture are all beautiful.

Tears.......I call them sweet tears. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and sometimes those difficult moments help us get through to where we wish to be. Lovely one Sal, well done.

You are so right, Sally. Tears are very cleansing. Years ago there was a study on tears from crying and tears from allergies, etc. There was a difference in the chemical makeup. This is lovely. Hugs, Lou

It is an awesome picture you took. It almost looks three-dimensional. The lilac actually looks like the head of an animal.
