Hello (Sandra (sandramitchell ) I found this L chapter in your book AmaZing Animals so interesting and well told.
The pictures of the Lemurs are great. They look like a coon minus their striped black and white tails.

I'll get around to reviewing this in a little while. In the meantime, I'm dropping my last six of the week on it, before it evaporates into cyberspace, never to be seen again.

Aw, thank you, Tony. LOL, I wish everyone would do that, give me a six, and then read it later. It would be too late to ask for it back!!! LOL.

I was thrilled to get this 'review' because you rounded off my letter L to 60 reviews, a world record for me! So, thank you so very much, my friend, not only for that but for the lovely six stars. I hope you do like it when you read all the fun facts about them. You must listen to the Lemur singing, it's hilarious watching him. He is obviously enjoying himself. Have a wonderful day. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra,

Another very nice addition. I like the formatting of poem followed by general info. It's clear and fun.

And did you know Lemurs can sing?
and when they're stroked they purr?- technically the second line should start with a capital as the previous is closed off by the question mark.

They have a little button nose, small eyes, and very round ears. Many people think they look a lot like teddy bears!
The indri lemurs are able to sing;- maybe a clear line between the paragraphs here.

The indri lemurs are able to sing;- Indri should probably be capitalised here as it's done elsewhere.

As of now, there has been a 95% - perhaps a clear line before this line as well.

All the best
G

I really enjoyed this, Sandra. Your poem is adorable, and the information you provided is fascinating. I appreciate that you've written this in a style appropriate to both children and adults. My daughter's favorite stuffed animal, which she sleeps with every night, is a lemur, so this held particular meaning for me.

Aw, thank you, Michele, for this lovely review. I can just visualise your daughter snuggled up with a lemur. I'm delighted you enjoyed reading about them, thank you! Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

You're welcome, and it does make a very cute picture - especially considering that my daughter just turned 16, but she loves the animal so much she still sleeps with it.

Thank you so much for this really nice review, Zanya, you have put a big smile on my face. I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading about the lemurs, Yes, it will be an ABC book for older children. Though the young ones might like the pictures and (hopefully) the poem. Have a lovely day, my friend, and thank you again. :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra,
A wonderful poem and addition to the book
or perhaps, just another tall tale.
Kids will like the fact that they purr.
I think I knew a few descendants of those stinky lemurs
and their song sounds a lot like my neighbors.
We have the stinkiest president, maybe that's why the crazies
are attracted to him.The stink factor.
Great chapter. I like the hopping lemurs, too.
Stay safe.
Robert

whooie! that is some singing.
What a wonderful, and thorough description of lemurs.
Your grandson will not only learn his ABCs, he will end up being an authority on everything representing the alphabet letters. I sure learned a lot.
Is the drawing yours, also? What a treasure this book will be for him. I hope you live close enough to read it to him, yourself.
well done!

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Katherine. I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading it. The picture at the top is my husbands, bless him, the rest come from Pixabay.com, the free use site. Yes, I live about half an hour away and will be seeing him on Sunday. He's a sweetheart. Thanks again, my friend. Sandra xx

I really enjoyed learning about these animals. This story was so informative but it is so sad. The pictures illustrate the words beautifully. I really liked reading this.

-Good artwork, photos, and poem, Sandra.
-There certainly is a variety of all of these animals.
-I just listened to a little bit of their "singing."
-The voice of the featured one kept getting higher and higher.
-Each lemur is very different with their various characteristics.
-I wouldn't want to be friends with the smelly one.
-I think I'd have to go with the indris as my favorite.
-I like how he is relaxing in the tree, but it
actually makes it look like a hammock. I'm not
sure about the singing, though.
-I guess it could also be called the "There it is Lemur" Or
Til for short!"
-I don't know if I would want an extra tongue, either.
-They are lovely creatures, but the loss of their habitat
and other obstacles make their lives difficult.
-A very good chapter, my friend.

Thank you so very much for the six stars, Pam, and another of your wonderful reviews. I like the indris, too, the Aye-Aye is my least favourite! lol. I love the Til, I don't think anyone would forget that. I can't help laughing when he hits the high notes, I think that is so funny. Thanks again, my friend. Big hugs, :)) Sandra xx

You are very welcome for the stars and review, Sandra. He does get into his "singing" like an opera star! The gibbon in the primate family has a great sound, too. I enjoyed the Lemurs.
reply by the author on 19-Jun-2020
I'm going to take a look at the gibbon and have a listen. I know people think the indi's song is a racket, but it makes me laugh. As you say, he really gets into it, lol. :))

It's always good to have something that makes you laugh! I thought its mouth opening wider and wider was the funniest part-it reminded me of an opera singer:)
