How sad this poem is. I understand the tragedy of losing a father twice. First, he can't remember or recognize you, and second, he is not allowed visitors because of the Pandemic and he contracts it and dies alone. Bless you, you have conveyed this well.

Nice entry for the Father's Day Poetry Contest. It's so sad the way families are separated with the covid19 pandemic. On top of that, the father (yours?) has Alzheimer...it's very sad.

No, my father does not have Alzheimer's. The poem is told from the aspect of several friends who struggle with losing their loved ones to Alzheimer's.

I am left feeling sad at the end of this piece. To think of the people who don't get to celebrate the day because there is no father there or for one reason or another they are kept away.
