Where would we be without our memories? - For these are the stories of our lives stored away in the computer we call our brain. Reflecting on the good and bad times are something we seniors do as we age, I think of it as watching my favorite movie, over and over again. I can relate to your trip down memory lane. Thank you for sharing this work and thank you for your service.

Your poem about memories is lovely. With much time on our hands in the current scheme of things I find memories keeping me company much more lately. I like the autobiographical theme, just within a short poem it tells us quite a bit about you. Hope there are many more happy memories for you to add to your diary. Lesley.

The author's words are heartfelt, beautiful, interesting and creative.
Listening to the music as I write - perfect choice. The words of this
poem were descriptive, emotional and made me think of my own
memories. The artwork is perfect and compliments this poem well.
A well written poem! Hope you are doing well.....Maria

Beautifully written my friend, it's funny I just wrote a poem about my childhood, it seems that "memory lane" is the theme. I loved this post, it spoke to, and revived my thoughts of childhood, and into youth and beyond, well done such lovely, But sometimes sad memories, but they all form a rich tapestry of existence, well done Diana, blessings Roy

I enjoyed the illustration equating "memory" with a "journal". I enjoyed your free verse and traveling with you through your past life. Your final "umbrella" metaphor is quite evocative. Cheers- Joan

Wonderful memories, and it's always good to look back and reflect on the past. I have fond memories of my grandfather, too. (My maternal grandfather, that is. Not so much so my father's side of the family.) If you served in the WACs, that must have taken any hippie that remained out of you. Isn't corp spelled corps? I like your concluding thought that your memories are like an umbrella on a rainy day. They are nice to have. Excellent choice for the artwork. judi

This free verse, Memory Lane, carries a lot of good times and from the nearest happenings back to the times when life was new every day and everyone loved us. Nice stroll.
