So lovely, like a whispered, worshipping prayer. I just love your feminine side, and how you embraced all of who are in this one. A grateful, beautiful person.
Sending you my best today as always,

A lovely free verse, Diana as you take us with you 'while gathering fragrant blooming lilacs'. You've let your thoughts flow with your pen and that's what I love about free verse, done well, as this is. Lovely,
cheers,
valda

Diana, your image is absolutely gorgeous. The words in your poem are delightful. I love lilacs in the first place so to see a woman holding a basket full of lilacs is welcomed. Beautiful poem. He is an awesome God.

Hello Diana. Very nice. Your free verse poem is well constructed and very readable. The picture is nice, but I can see your verbal images.
In the last stanza you add a spiritual image as well.
Well done.

This is a description of all the sights and sounds of a perfect moment in nature. It is something that we won't see much of now in these days of COVID-19. It is a good entry for the Potlatch prompt.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Hello Diana, you have so beautifully showed us the beauty of living in the moment. The sounds and beauty you have described perfectly and the picture is glorious. Four lovely stanzas in free verse and I could not name one that outshines the others. Well done - a lovely read. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Many beautiful images, and I think it has great potential. My input for the "cons" is while this poem, the flow seemed a bit off (to me) and I realized that these stanzas are complete sentences wrapped in a poetic format. For example in stanza 2 - Do you need to say "I hear" as isn't that what we are doing when an echo occurs? I find (to my way of writing poetry) the use of way to many "the's"
Beneath sky blue, silly songs echo ... (and soon)
I realize "who am I to say such things"... but that is what this site does. Encourages us to critique pros and cons. It is subjective, so keep that in mind.

Thank you! Your advise is greatly appreciated! I considered not putting in the ?I hear? in that part too, so I?m glad you mentioned this. xoxo

Very nice and quiet moving poetry, it reminds me of being out in nature by a slow moving riverbed, that fills you with peace. I can feel the gratitude for God's blessings as well in your words. Well done.
