When your children were growing up did you ever confined in them the facts about the day care? Evidently the day care worker was not one that was patient with children, being your son was afraid of her.

That was a highly rated day care and I hadn't expected to have problems there but after I realized how he gone back to wetting his pants and he was afraid he cried every morning, I had to find another solution.

Dear Beth, I don't know if you had more than your share of hospitals and childcare problems for two working parents in your area, but I can feel the way you must have felt, from the words you write so many decades later!
The pride in your investments, the worry and frustration, when yet another call came into your workplace, saying you had to come pick a child up and taken them home or to the hospital.
I just hope you children will appreciate what you did all the more, because they can see the event thru your eyes.

Thank you so much for the review and the comments. I doubt that my life was very different from most people of that day or even today. Some people seem to put the unpleasant memories out of their mind. I seem to remember it all. The good and the bad,and all in all I feel I've had a wonderful life. I hope I'm not making it sound too negative because, I've often thought I be willing to do it all again if I had that choice. I love my life, even now.

This is a grand story/diary of your life. Love it!
I don't know if this is a typo or not. "Your brother, Rhomas, was working as a project engineer building bridges and other large projects." (Thomas??)

Thank you Rebecca I appreciate the review. No this is not a typo. My mother-in-law got somewhat creative naming her children. That was really his name.

Wow! You and your husband were really in the thick of your grown-up lives: balancing children, jobs, home, and investments; and then dealing with the problems that can arise as you're raising children. You had a terrible scare with Christi's hepatitis, and then getting so sick again right afterwards; and Don being traumatized at nursery school!

As always, I greatly enjoyed your narrative about life as a young Mississippi wife and mother. You certainly had your hands full!

I wonder if your children remember that day care center, especially Don who was traumatized. I bet he never liked school after that--too afraid of a repeat.
Your husband seems to know how to make money.

Thank you for the review. Don claims he remembers. He had some problems with school but he became a chiropractor so he had to go to school a lot of that. My husband did Okay by investing in land.

That which comes from the heart reaches the heart. Very good therapy. I for one enjoy your work. I had a radio ministry coming out of Brandon in 1979-80.
Good one Beth.

Thank you for the review and six stars. I enjoy your work. Brandon, Mississippi? I didn't even know they had a radio station. Are you a minister? I figured you were from I out West somewhere. I only lived in Brandon from 1969 tp 1972. We got transferred to New Orleans.

Yes, I have shared God's word for fifty years. It was through that station when I received an invatation to President Regan swearing In cermoney.
Best to you Beth.

You surprise me. I think that is wonderful. Did you live in Brandon?
Beth

No. Radio stations recruited my tapes for their Sunday devotion hours. I was blessed to be one of those they chose.

Again, thank you for sharing your memories with us. Good childcare is always hard to find. I don't think there's ever a perfect situation, unless a loving grandparent and even that can have issues.
The rest of our family had to go in and get a vaccination to prevent us from taking it. (getting it???)

Thank you for the review. I never found a perfect solution. It would work for a while and then something would go wrong.

I'm so glad your little girl recovered. Poor Don though having to go through what he did. I do hope you're able to find one more to his liking. The chapter is well-written, very interesting. I look forward to reading more.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I had to get my son out of there even though it was working well for the girls.
