I think you wrote a very informative and great post. It is very well written, and I did not see any grammar errors. I also love all the insight about the eagles from the length of their wings and how they can find prey . I think that your grandson will love it. Great post and thank you for sharing!

Hello Sandra,
I'm a bit behind in your wonderful series of alphabet stories for children.
I like the way you've included a lots of facts, and didn't shy away from
the reality that the eagle is a perfectly designed hunter and seeks prey
in small animals.
Old Ben Franklin was a smart guy, except when it came to the turkey. lol
Well done.

Good morning, Robert. Thank you so much for the lovely six stars! I've learnt a lot through researching these creatures. I've decided out of them all, I'd like to be an eagle if I come back again. I'd just like to have my food cooked, though! lol. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

The Eagle is getting a good write up here. Through your cartoon, poetry, and factoids about the national symbol, you create a memorable example of the letter E's better representatives.

As I saw you posted one for the letter E, I immediately thought it was going to be about elephants. possible an Emu, but you surprised, and delighted, me with the Eagle. A great choice. Loved you facts, Especially about the Mexican Flag.

Thank you, Tom, for reading my letter L, I'm so pleased you liked my choice. I'd love to come back as an Eagle, to be able to fly as they do and have no predators, what joy! The Mexican prophesy was an interesting find in my researching. Thank you for your lovely review. Stay safe, my friend, and enjoy your day. :)) Sandra xxx

This is very well written. I have developed dyslexia with numbers -- I have some brain damage and it seems to the cause.
Maybe you can write a book for me, LOL. Stay safe, my friend. I had no idea eagles could be so big. That would be quite a sight to see~Debbie

Thank you, Debbie. I'm sorry to hear of your number dyslexia. There must be a way to sort them the way Eric is learning with his letters. He goes to a special school for dyslexics, when it opens again, I'm going to ask his head teacher. He has asked me to read my books for the children. I'm glad you're able to read and write still. Thank you again for your nice review, my friend. Stay safe and well and have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

In this day of calculators and online banking, it isn't that much of a problem. Math was never something I really cared about--only to get good grades. I am so happy I am able to write~Debbie

Charming through and through. I can only sing its praises. The rhyme and meter are perfect and the painting is to. I'm going to follow you. Wish I had six stars to give.

Hi Sandra, I just love this children's alphabet page in the letter E. It should rivet your grandson's eyes to the page. It's so interesting, especially the fact page complete with pictures. I can see you must have carried out some extensive research to reach this standard. Keep safe, keep well. ~Mel~

I love the poem at the beginning, and the information about eagles is excellent.
I have a few suggestions:
The line, "While these eagles are big, the female is bigger." I'd change to "While these eagles are big, the female is larger than the male."
The line, "They share the building of the nest" seems awkward. Perhaps "They build the nest together."
Finally, "Apparently, Benjamin Franklin wanted the wild turkey!" is a good historical fact, but it needs a better introduction. "While
Benjamin Franklin wanted the wild turkey, the other founding fathers agreed the eagle would be a better symbol of America."
This is a good addition to your book.

-Great artwork, Sandra.
-The eagle is one of my
favorite birds, but I learned
a lot more about them.
-I didn't know about the various
colors they could see, and the story
about the Aztec people is very interesting.
-The symbol for their flag is gorgeous.
-Very nice poem about them, too.
-It is true that Ben Franklin wanted
the turkey, but he was voted down;
thank goodness!

I learnt a lot about them, too, Pam. Researching for this book has been really interesting. I'm so pleased you're enjoying them. I had a chuckle about the wild turkey. I wondered if it was because when the founding fathers landed and saw all those turkeys. Just a thought! lol. I still think the eagle is best. Thank you, my friend, I'm so glad you liked my choice for letter E. Have a nice evening, big hugs, Sandra xxx
I'm off to bed now; goodnight, chat with you tomorrow. :)) Sandra xx

You are very welcome, Sandra. I think it was because of the First Thanksgiving, and it was native to the area, but the eagle is best!
