I like the cute interchange between Drozig and Eric and the experience of replicated food. (Such a smart computer to know exactly the kind of food that Eric's mom prepared!)
One comment:
"went about doing other important work. " (It made me wonder what that important work was. But it also gave me a child's perspective of work that adults do that are important and not known or knowable.)

Hi Helen, thank you so much for reading this part. I've ordered a few of those food replicas! LOL! Not much further to go now. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

As always, you had me there on the spaceship believing everything that was going on around me. How do you do that? The sign of an excellent writer, to be sure. Again, the inclusion of Eric's 'real' life (loving his mum's Sunday dinner) gave authenticity to the story - and had me licking my lips to boot!

The character development really shined in this chapter. I loved the aspect of just them having dinner and conversing. I wouldn't mind some roast potatoes now though..

Another enjoyable chapter. There's plenty in it for young Eric to identify with. The roast chicken dinner is a nice touch. I'm hoping for one of those myself tomorrow! Only one nit noticed: "a thick msss (?) of colours whizzing by".
The idea of a parallel universe is an interesting one.

Thank you so much, Tony, for all the stars, and the lovely review. I'm so pleased you found that nit, the s is too close to the a, lol. That's my excuse this time!! lol. Thank you for your constant support, my friend, I really do appreciate it. Stay safe and well. :)) Sandra xxx

Hooray! We get to go into the fold now!! ;) And what could be better than exploring on a full tummy of home-cooked roast and taters! ;) :) A wonderful installment, my lady!!

Let's find out, shall we? --> [you ask this question twice in the space of a couple of lines (in the same speaker's dialogue block)....:) ;)]

I'm so ready for the year to be done, Sandra.... Grade reports go out on the 5th and then I need to just 'veg' for a while - lol! Looking forward to maybe some 'escapist fantasy penning' after a few days of being completely 'unplugged'! ;) Hope all's well over there, my friend! ;) Yvette

Yes, all's well here. I can quite understand you are ready for a break, it's a lot of work, isn't it. Still, just think of all the fun you're going to have in the garden shed!!! lol.
Thank you so much for another lovely review, and thank goodness you spotted that double sentence. I've taken it out now! Take care, my dear friend, and stay safe. :)) Sandra xxx

-Very good image and chapter to go with it, Sandra.
-We learn a lot in this one, especially about folds in space.
-I like Kon's thought about Eric and Eric's response,
as well as later in the story, when he thinks about
telling his mum about the Yorshire pud!
-While Drozig is busy, Herbie fills us in on
drone-searchers and how they were able to do things.
-A good touch of humor with Eric commenting on
"another me," and Herbie's usual comeback!
-The replicator is a cool idea; we could use those
here, and cooking would be a lot easier!
-Very good description of the meal that Drozig enjoyed.
-I shouldn't review these stories right before our lunch:)
-I look forward to knowing what's in the fold!
-Well done.

Aw, thank you so much, Pam, for this really lovely review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed Eric's response to what Kon said. It would be just what my Eric would think. lol. I want one of those replicators, I've asked Drozig for one!! lol. And a big thank you for the six stars, my friend, that's so sweet of you. Sending you a special hug. :)) Sandra xxxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. Maybe you can put in a word with Drozig for me, too. You do manage to get some good Eric responses in the story!

I'm so pleased you said that, Pam. It's the type of thing Eric would say, and I'm trying to keep the book Eric as close to the real Eric as possible. :)) I'll be sure to ask Drozig for an extra one for you, lol. xx

Kon is impressed with Eric. Even a child understood why he didn't want to tell his people the good news until he was sure the news was good. The fold in space had the planet hidden. LOL Eric's mother's Roast dinner? Every child loves mom's cooking. Well done Sandra. xxx Nancy:)

Hello Sandra,
Another great fun and educational chapter.
That mind reading trick is a dangerous thing. As Bob Dylan once wrote: "If my thought dreams could be seen, they'd probably put my head in a guillotine."
Eric is very wise for his age.
"Although Eric was well pleased with the praise, he wasn't at all impressed with being called a child!" Love this line, spot on to a "young person's" reaction.
In our case, if the universe was like my son, there would be no folds in space, just large piles of wrinkled stars. LOL
I thought Drozig would be a vegetarian. :) But at least you can write an accompanying book: Eric's Mum's Extraterrestrial Culinary Delights.
(should yorkshire be in caps?)
Well done!
Stay safe and enjoy some Yorkshire pud.
Robert

Your poor son! LOL. Isn't that the way of all youngsters? It does't matter how old your child is, they don't change until they have their own home. I didn't!!! LOL.
I love that line from Bob Dylan, I'm sure that applies to us all. No, unless I could flick a switch to stop people coming in and wandering around, I wouldn't want to mind read, either.

Thank you so much for the six stars and this really lovely, fun review, Robert, I'm delighted you enjoyed it. I've put the capital Y on Yorkshire, thanks for that! Have a lovely day, and stay safe, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx
I might just write that book! xxx

Well done Sandra, well done. It was great that you presented the discussion between Eric, Drozig and Kon the way you did. It showed that even though a child, Eric was thinking about and assessing everything said. I also liked when he and Drozig ate dinner, I could actually picture Drozig's responses to the different food. Great details and descriptions. Very much enjoyed. Big hugs and from behind a mask-smiles. Be well, be safe.

Behind the mask, smiles! I love it, lol, but that's what we'll have to get used to now, I suppose. :( Thank you so much for another of your brilliant, uplifting reviews, Alie, I really appreciate reading yours. They always put a smile on my face. Sending hugs back, and a big smile. Take care, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

You are most welcome Sandra. I truly think that what you are doing for Eric is fantastic. It is only a matter of time before all the light bulbs connect and when they do, there will be no stopping him.
