I really enjoyed this chapter with its variety of happenings and the surprise twist at the end. The end creatures sound a bit like mermaids.
I am curious to learn what happened to their planet.
Regarding the different fonts for the thought transferring versus the storytelling and conversation between Herbie and Eric, I did not find it confusing.

I'm still working on it. I've had one person tell me just to use the normal font, because everyone who's reading it already knows it's thought transferring. I thought that was a good idea. Thank you, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

My grandson asked me if mermaids were real when he was in the bath the other night, and I told him I thought they were, although I had never seen one. I think those of Atlantis are explorers from a planet in decline.
It's difficult to fathom all the possibilities of this wonderful undiscovered world.
