Hello Co-Author! I love the flirting between Billy and Cathy in this chapter. Only two chest hairs, huh? :))) Oh, dear, a wild boar is in their path! We shouldn't have flirted so much because wild animals come out after dusk! I sure do hope Grandpa is right about wild animals being afraid of fire and water. We will see . . . It's so much fun writing with you and letting our imaginations run free. 1-2-3, I bet you can't catch me! Speaking of 3, as you know, Chapter 3 is almost written and coming soon. HURRAH! You are an AWESOME writer and, as I've said before, I am HONORED to write by your side! God Bless.
Respectfully with Admiration and Tons & Tons of Love,
Cathy

A "SALUTE," Co-Author! Quite an "Astonishing" review. Too often, when sitting at your side, I underestimate the "Magnificent talent and flare" God gave you for writing. Many times I have watched you smile, heard you say kind words, offer a listening ear, then give me your honest thoughts on the events of our stories. May I say, "It is an honor having an awesome writer (YOU) to share your inkwell with me." C'mon, it's time that I stop lollygagging around, 'cause we have 5 novels to finish writing. So, let's climb on our horses, yell "Getty-up," and go write 'em! Respectfully with Admiration and a Train load of Love, Bill

Such a great story and I particularly liked the fact that although I'm Scottish I could see the accent and it was as if I could hear it leaping from the page and straight into my hears. Very well done.

Rattlesnakes and rabid boars--oh my! Very believable snappy dialog and good descriptions. Cute bit about hearts beating as one (normally trite) then comes the clever punchline about sharing clothes. Cheers. LIZ

What I like about this book is the language is taking you into that time. I feel like reading Tom Sawyer all over again. So glad that Billy dodged the bullet, Thank you for sharing and good luck with your next chapter.

Another great chapter to read. I noticed you were from Gatlinburg, TN. We visited there twice and so I really enjoy your Smokey Mountain Background/Southern drawl.

This did not come into my PM box. I was checking to see how my post was doing and found it. I'm glad I did. I don't understand why I only get some of things you post. I enjoyed reading, as usual. LOL Last week a 10 year old boy killed a 7 foot long wild boar that weighted 438 pounds here in this area of Texas.

""Shucks! I'll promise you now; yet, my fingers will be crossed behind my back!" (very minor, but one too many beginning quotation marks)

As usual, a lot happens and rapidly after each other. First a rattle snake and now the wild boar. I have to say that where I live the wild boar is a plaque and cause a lot of damage, but they hardly ever attack, unless you walk out after dark A pretty foolish thing to do in the mountains.
Just found one thing: Quickly jumping from bed =Quickly jumping from the bed. All best. Ulla:)))

An excellent chapter. Full of anxiety over the rattlesnake and then the wild hog. I'm always ready to read more. I didn't find any errors, just your usual quality. Shirley

"Goody, goody, my friend! I'll always keep my window open enough so you can fly in!" I called. ... My favorite line.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Thanks for the review, kind words, and taking the time to read "The Ol' Wood Bridge." Having an "Awesome Writer," such as yourself to express admiration for our work, and follow along is an honor. For your information, since I left the Smoky Mountains I haven't seen the first hoot owl. So, I just close my window, eat the snakes, then chase 'em down with Moonshine Whiskey. Do you believe this? I didn't figure you would. Best wishes for a great weekend and God Bless. Respectfully with Admiration,
    Cathy and Bill.

moonshine might attract more rattlesnakes than it repels ,,,

Hello Bill & Cathy,
Lovely piece of Romance Fiction having impressive phraseology, smooth, spontaneous, captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully depicting its theme.
These lines are particularly noteworthy:
""Oh, Lord! As you know, I don't beg much; yet, I'm begging now. Please send down a miracle to save my little man. Are you listening, Jesus?"
&
"...and I could smell the sweet fragrance of Cathy's body--yummy, yummy!"
Interesting Indeed!
