A lovely sci -fi you are writing. I think ERIC will be intrigued, as he must be with your other books. You are an awesome writer. Nice work.

Hi, Drew, thank you so much for reading this part and you lovely comments. Re: your 'homed' 'honed' in the UK we mostly use homed. I've double-checked and found this on Google. I thought you might like to read it as it is interesting what they say about US publishers. Thanks for your really sweet compliment, my friend, you're not so bad, either!! :)) Sandra xxx

Hone in began as an alteration of home in, and many people regard it as an error. It is a very common, though, especially in the U.S. and Canada?so common that many dictionaries now list it?and there are arguments in its favor. Hone means to sharpen or to perfect, and we can think of homing in as a sharpening of focus or a perfecting of one?s trajectory toward a target. So while it might not make strict logical sense, extending hone this way is not a huge leap.

Outside North America, home in prevails by a huge margin. It also prevails in North America, but only by a ratio of about two to one. Hone in is common even in technical, scientific, and military contexts, where one might expect home in to prevail. A few American and Canadian publishers clearly favor home in as a matter of policy, but most apparently have no strictly enforced policy one way or the other.

Wow, Sandra, what a chapter and what a story. So Eric and his friend have come across some locals and they urge him to come along. No wonder that he's wary. I can't wait to read on. It's a great story and so full of adventure. Ulla xxx

Eric and Herbie have encountered some strange beings. I'm curious as to what/who they are. They are probably thinking the same thing about Eric, and Herbie for sure. Let's go. I'm all packed up for this new adventure.

Bless you, Yvonne, it's going to be a strange adventure. I hope you've packed your bathing costume? That's a clue, lol. Thank you so very much for the six stars, my wonderful friend. I'm more than pleased you are coming along on this adventure with Eric, Herbie and me. It'll be fun. :)) Big hugs, Sandra xxx

It looks like they're in for quite an adventure. The Atlantians haven't tried to hurt them, so maybe they're just curious. The only 'nit' I found was 'Especially on the steeper parts.' It isn't a complete sentence. I'd combine it with the one before.

Aw, thank you, Cindy, for pointing that out. I've now attached it to the previous sentence as you suggested. No maggot mummies in this one, but some other strange beings instead, it's lovely to have to coming with us again. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Girl, you just bit off a big chunk of imagination. Wow, I have a feeling this will be good! I wish you would describe the beings in more detail. It could be me but I didn't grasp it. Perhaps you wanted to leave it that way for now. Good Job, Sandra. Nancy:)

LOL! Nancy! To answer your question, yes, I'm going to drip feed you bits of info about these strange beings, but all will become clear and you will understand the truth about Atlantis and why no one has seen it. First we get to know them a bit more. Are they friendly? Eric will soon find out. Thank you my dear friend, for another of your lovely reviews that make me smile. And I'm sending you a much warmer, cuddlier hug for the six lovely stars. Thanks my dear friend. I hope your eyes are still coping and hopefully improving? xxxx Sandra

A great level of suspense, Sandra, which provides me to want to learn more. It was intriguing as well as educational. It was amazing that Gizmo was able to take them back that far in time and that Atlantis did exist. But I knew that lol). This is indeed an interesting adventure and one that is delightful to follow. Well done, great idea that hubby had. Hugs and smiles.

Thank you so much, Alie, for another of your lovely reviews. In the first book. Eric and Herbie were taken back in time to the Dinosaur era, that was even farther back in time. This is just a puddle jump for Gizmo! Lol. There is going to be a few surprises in this story, so I hope you'll stick with me! Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I hope they don't go in because it might be a trap. Knowing Eric, he probably will. The kid seems to live for danger. Your chapter is very well-written, interesting start to finish. I look forward to reading more.

The Atlantis adventure is off to a good start. Nice touch with the aquatic people. Eric nicely fell into the soup as they say. Looking forward to see what they want with him.
