Sandra,
This is a good build up for the trip. It will be interesting to see how Eric wrties this up in his history theme. I can't wait to see how he explains his appearance and his bike to the Atlantians.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Thank you so much for reading part one of this book. This story was the last one for the time being. I've written four books for my grandson now, and I'm going to leave it in my portfolio for the time being. I'm delighted that you thought is a good build up, that is that hardest part, the first page. Thank you again, my friend, and you stay safe, too. :)) Sandra xx

Aw, Bless you, Gert. I'm having a break from them just for a jew weeks. I need Graham to come up with another idea, :)) he's good at that. But they will be back. Eric will make sure of that! lol.

Thank you so much for the lovely six stars, dear friend, and your lovely comments. Your encouraging words have put a big smile on my face. Have a wonderful day with your lovely husband! :)) Sandra xxx

Sandra,

I'm late, but I'm here! Things have been a little hairy lately. Ugh. But I knew I had to make time for this. *smile*

Highly intriguing premise. I'm anxious to find out about Atlantis, myself! I'm taking notes and I'll be ready to go with you to present all your findings to the scientists of the world. YAY! haha

Notes:
1.) Eric picked up his glass of sugar-free coke from his bedside table
--> either 'sugar-free Coke' or 'sugar-free cola'

2.) You'd be lost without me," he told him,
--> he/him - better to make it more clear?

3.) Eric leapt off the bed and stripped off his clothes.
--> 'off x2

That's it. I'm on to the next!

Hi Sandra! I must be honest... I shall keep reading this book in the hope that eventually Jason Momoa will pop in when Eric gets to Atlantis! Now there's a lovely thought. :-)
This sounds like an exciting adventure, sure to keep Eric and his friends on the edge of their seats.

Okay, preparing to meet Aquaman! :-)

There was great imagery, wonderful flow and the story felt alive.

Hello Sandra, this is a good topic to explore and educate children as well. I like the way they started out arguing on whether it s real or not and finally decided to explore. Good start and I'm sure you must be brimming with ideas.
Best wishes on this journey
Sylvia

-Good image and first chapter, Sandra.
-I like how you begin with the classroom
scene and the assignment.
-It leads to a lot of discussion between Eric and Herbie.
-Each makes good points, but Eric doesn't give up,
and shows how, in previous trips, they never had a
reason ahead of time, and then uses his top card-
Herbie had been called a "Great Spirit."
-He knew he had been bested, so he agreed to the trip.
-I like the bit about the holiday and all the rationales
behind it, like taking a bike across the sea!
-The ending is good with "a tornado of twists and turns."
-Let the adventure begin!
-I look forward to learning about Atlantis!
-Well done!

Thank you so much, Pam, for another of your lovely reviews. I've put the comma in, well spotted! lol. I loved how you picked out the important bits in this first part, you are always most encouraging. :)) Now they are going to find out if it's the Garden of Eden, or the absolute opposite. Thank you for those lovely stars, my friend, I really do appreciate your friendship. Big hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

I've always been interested in the tales of Atlantis. This is a wonderful story. I like the way it focuses at this point on the argument of whether the place actually exists or not rather than a quickly agreed upon "let's go there". It's fun to listen to their debate and the give-and-take of their conversation. You can tell that they're good friends.

Thank you so much for the 6 stars, my friend, and this lovely review. There is going to be a lot of fun in this story. I hope you come along with us. Big hugs, my friend. (what is your name?) xxx Sandra :))

my name irl is Karmin. And yes, I did get a lot of slack for it as a child in the 70s. *sigh*.
reply by the author on 19-Feb-2020
Aww, I know what names can do to you. My maiden surname was Mannakee, and my so called school 'friends' used to call me monkey. It was awful. I think Karmin is a pretty name. :))
