Yvette,
This is a cute story that tells how a simple act of love can change a person's mood for the better. It shows how whimsical childhood can be.
Congrats on the win.
Happy Holidays.

YMR homonymizes -- hey, is that a real verb? -- in a hilarious way in "TTTSTD." In her magical mill of the imagination, she taken a daisy and ground into flour. In doing so, she has given us all a subtle reminder to pay attention to life's small, but important, lessons. Kudos.

Wow, AvL!! ;) :) Thanx so much for your wonderful comments about the little 'Stacy Fairy Princess' and the gentle art of children bringing the heart back to the matter! ;) I never had a little girl, but I did have one little niece! :) Merry Christmas Time!! ;) Yvette
P.S. Still trying to catch my tail - lol!

To YMR:
My elder niece, Haley Ann, is the pride of our clannad. She is brighter than all the rest of us put together; and she is out-earning us, to boot, God bless her! Be well.

A post-scriptum:
One critter that actually catches its tail -- in myth, anyway -- is the autophagous Worm Ourobouros: a cautionary "tail," no doubt.
Later.

Oh this is surely a winner, Yvette. It's topical, the story line is funny and relatable, the little girl is adorable, and it's written in your signature bright, breezy style.
I'm curious. I live in the US but I'm no expert on American culture so, do little girls call their mother "ma'am"?
Enjoy your day.
Blessings Julia

Naaaah... that would be a Southern thing!! Here in the South, we do address parents and 'elders' as ma'am out of respect... I do the same to my friends (as well as my students on occasion - lol!) Thanx for the review and take care, ma'am!! ;) Yvette

Gotcha!!!

This is a well penned and thoroughly engaging story, however, it is short the 75 words required for the contest:
The problem is that the word processor counts the dash after "hel" as a word.
Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

I have been told on more than one occasion to wake up and smell the roses. Damned homonyms, blame it on the English language. I enjoyed reading this pleasant children theme. "Clever word play," employed in this promising contest entry.

A great flash. Also a wonderful tale about slowing down and taking time for the little things.
I have to wonder though, do you have a hidden camera in my home? A scene very similar to this just occurred in my kitchen. It was the day before (U.S.) Thanksgiving and I was furiously making pies. I called to my 7 year old to help, as my hands were dirty...no response. As I frustratingly washed my hands, she appeared in full chefs outfit(a gift from Nana) and in her best Muppets Swedish chef voice said, "I'm hereto help the Mama!" Couldn't help but laugh and we had fun the rest of the day. Blessings, MB

You've just got to love our precious little angels, yeah?! No hidden camera, just a couple + decades with my three VERY DIFFERENT boys under the belt.... no little girls, though, but a treasure chest of memories to weave with! :) Thanx for your wonderful review and for sharing that little piece of your heart, my lady! ;) Yvette

This seventy-five-word story, Take Time to Smell the Daisy, is a terrific representation of our dealing with sweetness that survives our plague of pragmatism
