Thank you very much for reading and reviewing, and most especially for the sixth star. Sorry I took so long to reply, but I have been truly wordless for a long while...

This account is delightful. I love how you wove history or geography into this adventure of the Basties. Your humor is one of my favorites, tongue-in-cheek. Well orchestrated.

Bast, the Egyptian cat goddess, gave my clever felines the name.
Sorry I am so slow in replying. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Very well-written prose about the Animals and how they react to water coming from oceans or rain, they all have different reactions and most will find shelter away from the wetness.

Comment from Gloria ....
Such a well-told retelling of Noah's Ark and what happened to the Basties. I guess the fact is being too smart might be a wee bit of liability if one doesn't have access to the mainframe.
Your narrative is lean, highly descriptive with vivid imagery and the story line direct and easy to follow.
Superb writing, Ellijay and a pleasure to read and review. :)

Good story about a bad decision. Should have stayed on the ark. I still miss the unicorns, who dallied and missed the boat. I wonder what others missed it. Dinosaurs were just too big and heavy and would sink it, so we know why they weren't included. LOL! :)

Wow! What great imagery of the storm blowing up to take the ark on it's way. The creaking of the boards and the sounds of frightened animals really brings this to life. Poor Basts. They should have stayed.

Oh-oh, that was a dumb move. I guess that's why there are no more Basties. I always wondered how Noah got all those animals onto the ark. Polar bears, penguins, kangaroos, lions, none lived where Noah did. How could he have managed it?

I had not seen the new movie about Noah when I wrote this. The
screenwriters did well. I apologize for the long delay in replying. Thank you very much for reading and reviewing my post.

This is an interesting "take" on the story of Noah's ark. You speculate as to what some of the animals really felt in a unique personification. I enjoyed reading this short, short story.

This is an excellently penned story, my friend. The ending is perfect. I haven't seen you post anything for quite sometime, but I have been away from Fanstory for some lengthy periods of time. Good to read your work again~Debbie
