Ramen sure is a cheap supper but it's satisfying. I think you gained the audiences attention from the start by being relatable. Cute ending. Good narration. Good dialogue. Good short story. Nice work.

Beautiful story, and I love how you switched from hate to love and forgiveness :"It starts with a simple prayer and giving me your pain. You are crucial to the Father and Me. We don't want to lose you. Every life counts."

"I've never prayed before. It wasn't at the top of our family's to-do list."

"It's easy, and I'll show you how. Give me your hands, please."
Thank you for sharing.

What a neat story of redemption.

Maybe add a line or two about hey, those people at the assembly were right about letting go of pain.

I like the part about pain getting a whiff of the filth it left behind. Powerful image.

I thought this was a wonderful story in a lesson of forgiveness and love. Your description of the pain was very well written. You had a good lead, which gave a sort of a mystery of where you were going GREAT JOB

This is beautifully penned testimony of the first step toward the transformation of a life, born again in Jesus Christ. I'll never forget the day He received me with arms open wide, cleansing me of all sin.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :+)

This is a strong piece, although perhaps a little hard to accept for anyone who has never had a direct religious experience. Can you believe in things you have never seen? I think so yes, especially since I wrote a piece on Faith, and the definition just says it's there but you can't see it, or feel it.But I don't know many of my friends and aquaintences who would agree with me. Good piece of writing anyway.

You rally speak the truth about forgiveness. I have struggled with this all my life with several people. The thing is, the bitterness and anger hurt you, not them. And while I have never seen Jesus, I have felt his presence. Thank you for posting this. It was heavenly reminder of what hatered and bitterness can do. With all the hate being spewed around today, I hope lots of people read your words and take them to heart.

I liked this story's message of releasing hate. Hate of anybody can truly be corrosive to the soul. I found your story readable and compelling. We can get lost in hate or reach for the higher perspective of forgiveness.

This is a beautiful story of forgiveness through the eyes and help of Jesus, PoppaMike. I enjoyed reading it. Your lines flow smoothly and there is great imagery. I understand how you infused this with the love of Jesus and what that does for our souls. Your story has a message that is loud nd clear. Thank you for sharing. Respectfully with Admiration. Jan

This brings tears to my eyes too - what a huge blessing it is to finally see what Jesus means when He says "come unto me" - He loves even the father in this case - only that man could not escape for some reason. I've seen this awfulness in a few people and it's so destructive.
A great story of redemption, forgiveness and healing.
