This not a surprise. It is a very good Senyru post. Like your selected illustration to match your text. Good choice of text and background color - nice contrast.

    Thanks, Mark! I quite like these short pieces. Some on FS are quite scathing about the brief forms but I find them an intriguing challenge to come up with something a bit different.

I like the artwork you choose to go with your poem,they are a perfect match.
The message made me smile not only did it capture my attention but people always tell how good they feel after talking to me or reading the word and thoughts for today, that is was makes me feel bless.

Good deeds is truly a poetic message of the human spirit.
It's exactly what one is looking for to be blessed of your world today.

A very well-written senryu about being surprised sometimes by the deeds that are filled with goodness and we are graciously blessed by that.

Having completed a good deed can certainly lift spirits for quite a while, as opposed to bad deed that weigh heavy on our conscience for years and haunt us. Well said, love Dolly x

    And receiving a good deed can be a surprise sometimes. Nice surprise! My father was a Scout leader and he checked in with us at dinner time each day to see what we had done each day for someone else.
