This is a heartfelt story and feeling broken is something I have been familiar with and living alone is something I am used to now. Addiction is a different ball game and can end in great misery, I am pleased to hear you are beating it, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

First congrats on your 6-months sobriety. The poem is raw emotion and I am a witness of their devastation. Just one word of advise, while a move may be in order, wherever you go, there YOU are. Thanks for sharing. V

You know, I'll let you on a little secret, Author, because I see myself in your mind. My Lord Jesus saves. He is always there for us. I believe we are the chosen and the devil knows it. So at an early age, horns and tail, starts turning us into whatever he wants because we belong to the Lord. You keep your head up and smile, believe in yourself and when feeling weak as strength from the Most High. We are few, yet, we are many. :)

So proud you should be! Being sober like that has to be a miracle for sure. I'm glad that you've found strength in Jesus
and know that if you are with Jesus, no one can be againsyou. Keep on writing, it's great therapy!

Your poem is amazing and congratulations for your 6 months sobriety. I know first hand what it feels like to battle with addiction. This poem is honest and true. Good job.
