HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Perfect, perfect perfect!!! Bravo! What an uproarious, SOOO fitting ending to this troll of a man!! To humiliate himself --and he did do this by himself (well, you know, sort of)-- in front of the Prime Minister of the country!!! This beats poison ANY day!! Brilliantly done, oh novelist extraordinaire!!! xo

I can only imagine how much fun you had writing this chapter!

Ah, the Toad gets his richly deserved comeuppance! About time!!

Excellent chapter. :-)

One small possible correction:

She quivered just the way jelly does when you scoop it out (of) the bowl. I couldn't say I fared much better.

Thank you so much for the six stars, my dear friend, and this lovely review. I've quickly nipped in and put the 'of' in the jelly!! It wobbled a bit when I did it, lol. I did have fun with it, I wanted him to look a fool without overdoing it. I'm so pleased you liked it, I've been waiting to see if you would. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

I'm so pleased you liked this part, I had such fun writing it. I have three parts left to post, and can't wait to read how the ending will be received. Posting one later today. Thank you so very much for the 6 lovely stars, my dear friend, I do so appreciate you, and the wonderful 6 star review. I can't say much about the rest of your review without giving the ending away. Soooo, watch this space!! Biggest hugs, my friend, and lots of love. :)) xxx

Once this book is finished (next week) I'll be writing more for Eric, and some poetry!! I haven't written any for just over a year. That's awful! I did write a story for Gareth's (Gman) contest. He wanted some long stories of around 3000 words, so I wrote 'Eric and the Indians.' It's in my portfolio, but I'm going to make it a bit longer so I wouldn't bother reading it. I have to do the Eric and the Pharaohs, first. I'm really looking forward to writing those. Eric starts his new school in September, which is for children like him. He'll have more one to one lessons which will help him enormously. Say Hi to Noah for me. Love to him as well!! :)) Sandra xxxxxx

-An excellent chapter, Sandra, that is filled
with action and reaction from all present.
-I like how it begins at a slow, business like
pace as the two men settle in Charles's office.
-I also like how you keep us aware of Ver. time
traveling with her thought about it. I am
sure she would love to be home!
-You build the suspense throughout the scene,
until Ver. and Gladys have to find ways
to get Charles to notice the portrait.
-It was a good move when Ver. tilted the
whiskey glass, after noticing the map with
the devastating plans outlined on it.
-The hat was the coup de gras!
-The description of each man is very well done,
and culminates with Charles's abusive outburst at Gladys.
-The conclusion is perfectly done.
-We now wait to see the final outcome
for Charles, Gladys, Ver., and Mildred!

Thank you so very much for this review, Pam, it's terrific. I really appreciate all the comments you've made, and love the shiny stars too. I thought I'd only have two parts to go, but looking at the lengths of them, I've split them into three. You are in for a surprise at the very end. :)) Can't wait to see what the reaction will be. Big hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra.

I rather liked my use of coup de gras; don't ask me what part of my brain that came from!

We have to wait longer?! You could just send them in advance for perusal, ha, ha!!

Hello Sandra,
This is a marvelous, fun chapter that readers will love.

Some excellent description that here:
"release an eruption deadlier than Mount Vesuvius"
"like a weasel trapped in a rottweiler's kennel"

The portrayal of Churchill is spot on, said the reader from the US. lol

Making Charles look the complete fool, the look of "look of abhorrence and indignation on Churchill's face," was perfect. Charles is, after all, a murderer.

This is one of your best chapters.
Outstanding work.
Robert

The humor is great. The line 'It was getting funnier and funnier by the second' describes this chapter perfectly. Knowing that Charles' career is ruined, you have satisfied a lot of readers. The best part is that he knows his deceased wife is responsible for his downfall. That piece of knowledge will probably drive him insane. That's revenge at its sweetest.
Well done.

What a fabulous chapter! Not only did you manage to discredit Charles, but you made him look like a raving loony. As always, your excellent writing had me in the room with the characters, and I could see it all clearly in my head. Now they've achieved their objective, will Veronica and Mildred be going home? I can't wait to find out!

Wow - this was excellent I think. I haven't got the whole picture yet of why his ex-wife is tormenting Charles - but - great scene. Smooth action and precisely right dialog. I enjoyed this chapter.

Hi Gail, thank you so much for this lovely review. Charles was one of those men who did not want women to have the vote, and his wife Gladys was a suffragette. He's a bully who would batter Gladys and eventually he deliberately pushed her down the stairs killing her. She is now a ghost, and wouldn't go into the light until she knew her son Tommy was safe from his clutches. That is why she is tormenting Charles. Veronica is a time-traveller sent to right wrongs happening in the past. Mildred is something quite different but her memory of what she is has been temporarily removed. All will be revealed in the last part. Thank you again! :)) Sandra xxx

Oh dear, this could make the end of Charles' career, not that he doesn't deserve it and much worse. It is rather funny, he must look like a mad man. =} Well done as always my dear. Rox
