I'm very happy to have a poetry cobber! Nice idea. I am an Aussie but i live in NZ now. It's a skinny landmass so we don't have a "mid-west" here... that would put you on top of the Southern Alps and therefore no drought. NZ has the image of being a green country but there are certain areas that are susceptible to drought conditions. And flooding. Weather patterns are changing.

Oooooh, this is a terrific write, my friend. Our farmers are in dire straits, from drought, flooding and those idiotic tariffs. Farmers are going bankrupt in droves every day! So I really appreciate that you are bringing awareness to their plight in this release, because the corporate-controlled mainstream media certainly isn't covering these issues. Our farmers are still our backbone, we all have to eat, and certainly don't get the support or voice they deserve. I do not know much about USA agriculture, but even here in NZ we are subject to policies which puts town against country sometimes. Over the years, I have seen the terrible ravages of drought in Australia. And then there is the fact that weather patterns are changing, internationally, and more will be affected by drought and flooding as you point out.
