I love it!! Everyone is bonding together as a huge force against the horrible Venomous Asp! This time I like the suspense and anticipation that's building (because it's for something GOOD, not something terrible). Wonderful scene, setting the stage for the finale!!

Hmm, I'm not sure how Mildred is going to convince Amelia about Gladys.
But I like the idea!

I still want to see The Toad really squirm like the slimy creep he is!

I like the way you ended this with a good cliffhanger. This chapter keeps reader attention throughout. Some suggestions below for you to consider:

"When Amelia put her needlework down to study the weariness"
When Amelia put down her needlework to study the weariness

Just mentioning Tommy was enough to brighten Mildred's face(omit, though).

(Any more) (No more) than I did whilst I was alive. Why?"

I thought it was too good an idea to let go. (Change this...2 paragraphs up you say the same line.)

"Why don't we have a word with Mildred in the morning.(?) If she can persuade Amelia you're still here in spirit form, we can go from there."

As always, enjoyed this story very much!

Hi Sandra, This is a very compelling chapter, it definitely makes me want to read more. I don't know too much about what's going on here, but who can pass up ghosts and murder??

I always get nervous when the Powers-that-be are in a chapter. A lot of their discussion centers around Mildred's budding romance with Tommy. Mildred's relationship with someone of the opposite sex is something they never had to deal with before, and they have no definitive answer on how to solve it. Jowell's say, "I suggest we let things slide for now." I suggest they let things slide forever.
The line 'Mildred isn't of any timeline, for that matter' is a very thought-provoking sentence. The whole chapter is enthralling. Well done.

I love this story. I love the cover of your book. It's intriguing..I love the attention to detail in the sewing.. most of all I like Mildred...I wonder why she is so tired when that hasn't been the case when she's travelled before, hmmmm
God bless

Thank you so much, Jenny. Why is Mildred Tired? That's a good question, and you are the only one who has asked it.... I'm so pleased you like her. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra,

It's hard to know exactly what Mildred is? She died, but didn't, came back as young red headed version of herself, but isn't a ghost, went back in time and seems to be changing history, but maybe she isn't.

The Powers-that-be should be renamed The Three Stooges-that-be.
How could anyone not have noticed the behavior of Mildred & Tommy?
Oh, I see. Typical male behavior or misbehavior.

Excellent scene with V, G, M and A, and some good humor about Mildred not wanting to sit on Veronica.

The note is a good idea, but Charles is a crafty villain
which, of course, makes for a great story.

Well done
Robert

Mildred ... She is really giving me problems, never answers any of my questions!! lol. Yes, Charles is a real crafty so 'n so, but is he craftier than the girls?? Thank you so much for another lovely review, Robert, and for all the shiny stars! Big hugs my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

-This is a good chapter, Sandra, that begins
well with observations by the Powers.
-I think they made a good choice
in letting things go on for a while.
-The scene at Amelia's is done well,
as she is relaxing with her needlework.
-You also add humor as Mildred
is trying to find a place to sit!
-I could easily picture that, and
the fun Ver. was having with it!
-Amelia is kind, but doesn't lose a chance
to comment to Mildred about Tommy.
-She also shows the impact of food
rationing, even for those who are in
a better station in life.
-The ending section is also good, as
plans are in the works to get Charles to
believe there is some evidence against him
regarding Gladys's murder; it will be
interesting to see how that plays out.

Thank you so very much, Pam, for this really lovely review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the scene where Mildred was trying to find a chair to sit on. Now Ver has to explain to Mildred about hers and Gladys's idea about Amelia. Sending a bigger hug for the lovely six stars, my friend, thank you so much! :)) Sandra xx

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Sandra. The scene with Mildred and finding a seat was really well done. I could picture the whole thing as I read!

LOL, Linda, does any government official know what another government official is up to? The Powers-that-be are learning human ways!!! Charles is in for some unwanted attention so hold on to your seat! lol. nuff said. Thank you ever so much for the lovely 6 stars and your fun and fabulous review, my dear friend. Love you lots of bunches of violets! :)) Sandra xxxxx

Ian's new feet-shoes weren't quite right so they sent them away again and he's been told he should have them this Friday. Never ending saga! :( I'll let you know if he gets them. We don't have an awful lot of faith in this lot. xxxx
reply by l.raven on 10-Apr-2019
Hey You, hang on to that faith...my friend John is missing both legs from just below the knees...he is always going in for adjustments...he lost 50 pounds with the lung caner...so he legs didn't fit right...he's waiting now for new stuff to help them fit...or it will be a new set...my heart goes out to him and Ian...but tell Ian it takes a bit of time to get them perfect... but they will...and once in awhile they may have to adjust them...it's to your bodies weight...and how you walk on them...just stay strong...even learning to walk on them takes time...John had to get use to their weight...his are heavy...but Ian's are just his feet...all in good time my pretty...all in good time...

the Powers That Be might want to think twice about wanting to learn human ways...scary people we are...and Lord...keep them away from the government while learning...

and you my so sweet friend...are sooooo welcome...put a smile on that beautiful face...it's all in God's hands...Ian will do great...love you lots...Linda xxoo

While it is difficult to come across a book that is at such an advanced chapter, I still found your writing interesting and easy to follow. Dialogue was natural and flowed well.
I didn't see any errors. Well done.
