Excellent story! I like how you focused on the boy expressing his personality and dealing with all the women in his life. I like especially how his mom turned his loudness into a strength to help his baby sister.

    We call that win/win - it's every parent's survival skill, I believe!
Thank you for this nice review, Bill. xo

This is such a cute story. I thought it was very well told and I loved they way you portrayed the boy. I loved the cute picture as well. Thank you for sharing this wonderful little tale.

dmt - I looked at SOO many photos -sisters, babies crying, fathers-and-sons- but when I saw this one, I knew it was the winner. Thanks for mentioning that you liked it, too. And thanks for the warm and encouraging review, too. xo

Just beautiful writing....more stories about kids, which I just love. This one, to me flowed like a well constructed song. Of course, it didn't feel like it was something laboured over, it felt totally natural...and that's the magic of your story telling. Thanks, Tedd Turton

And she was probably crying right along with the laughter...been there, done that. :) :) But what a wonderful family story you have here, Rachelle -- those of us who have a few kiddos can certainly relate.... thanx for sharing! ;) ;) Yvette

I love Loud Louie! This is just so brilliant, Rachelle. It is written in the tone that little children talk, it sounds natural and innocent. I love it!

What a great story and I'm glad everything turned out well in the end.

If I had my nit-picking hat on, I might say that Louie, being a little boy, might not use 'wonderfully' in the following. Maybe 'crazy loud' or somesuch.
'When Dad's not driving his gigantic yellow truck --which is wonderfully loud, by the way.' I thoroughly enjoyed this. He sounds a cute little kid.

Yes, I have to agree with that nit. I'll edit that in a bit. As always, Judy, thank you for having my back. xo

I adore this story, Rachelle. I'd give it a 6 but I am saving myself for someone else as it is only Tuesday and I have been busy bestowing them on you elsewhere. Damn girl, please don't stop being so good. I will have to contact FS management to give us another 6-pack of stars to use.
Back to Louie... what a neat character he is, so well portrayed through his eyes, and you have given us a great picture of the family too, their interactions, predicaments and interests and activities. It is so very human... the joyfulness and positivity shines through (the tears and grumps).

Hi Rachelle :)
I've been where 'Mom' is, many a time! All the chaos finally comes full circle and brings laughter, relief and peace. - I think it's that the chaos is actually in harmony that brings that feeling of 'aaaah!'
I really enjoyed your story and I LOVE Louie. A proper lad - loud and lively with a big heart.
Thanks for the entertaining read.
Best wishes as always, Debra :)

You have to laugh to keep from crying. Kids will drive you mad unless you love them, and it seems your mom does love you just as much as your new sister. So go ahead and make thunder. Some day when you are away at college, she will miss the sweet sound of your little feet. :)
