What a great poem with a twist at the end or should I say turn. I love black and white photography or has they say monochrome. This is very well-written and that picture is wonderful.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

I don't know Aiona... that water wheel doesn't look like it's been going for a while now! Looks like the clock stopped before they thought about Daylight Saving! ;) Nah... I'm kidding, I love that picture... give me a slice of 'Old' any day! A water wheel, a covered bridge, a dirt road... I'll take them all... I'd even take the horse and buggy... if I could afford the horse!

Thanks Susan!

Lol! Love that last line! I wish that they would just stop switching the clocks back and forth. And every country does it differently and even some counties within states do it differently. Just madness! Hooray for the water clock!

I know! I used to live in Illionois, and sometimes fly out of Indianapilis. The rest of Indiana does Daylight Saving, but the city of Indianapolis doesn't. That one thing, I always forgot, so I missed a plane once, and another time I wss crazy early! So confusing!

Wow! That's so strange. Thanks for telling me about that. I thought that AZ was odd with the Navajo Nation observing the time change but all the AZ doesn't. Hawaii doesn't.

The artificial shifting of time twice a year is always a cause of contention. It suits some and causes difficulties for others. Your poem and picture give a measured view of real time.

Thank you for your review.

I like this... the steady flow of water, time passing, no fiddling by man - artificially changing things - can change the inexorable passage of time. Nice feeling of time and age with the black and white presentation.
