Ooh I love this. What a wonderful image! You have captured, in a perfect economy of space, a piece of feral childhood running around in the world. Beautiful.

Writing a sensible poem in nine syllables--that is a tall order! You have effectively used vivid imagery and thought-provoking whimsy in this charming entry.

Perfect picture to compliment the poem. The changing colors within the words pick up the rainbows in the bubbles. Nice use of alliteration with the b sound throughout.

I loved your presentation, very skillfully done, and a nice verbal concept to play with. I get that bubbles have rainbow colours but somehow I didn't connect with the "wild" and "shattered" as they seem a bit harsh and angular for the roundness of bubbles floating gently.

No matter how old we are, it seems we never tire of our fascination with bubbles. The rainbow caught inside an orb. Nicely done. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Uh, actually I did know, Anonymous Poet.
The process that creates such a pretty prism is known as refraction.
You see, light comes in then bounces off of...Oh, never mind. You already know...

A very well-written 2-5-2 poem about bubbles floating on the air in the garden looking like little rainbows floating everywhere. A beautiful presentation as well.

Hello Not So Mysterious Mystery Writer Writer! :) :) :)
Oh! How I love the thought of bubbles being pieces of "shattered rainbows!"
What a unique thought! And one that is absolutely delightful!
Here's to many more bubbles and rainbows!
Best Wishes!
