Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except by me." (John 14:6). This are words to live by. Yet, many choose the line where pleasures are and desires are fulfilled. (Even if it's for a short time.) I have often asked why?

Thank you so much for the kind review and comments. You are also a wise one who knows the Lord! Jesus showed me the way as I was a young teenager when I first believed. I have never regretted my decision to follow him. He is so wonderful to love me so much, and really the whole world. He wants us all to choose the one path that leads to life.

Thank you for the excellent review and always kind words, very insightful, too. The Bible says, today is the day of salvation. He wants us to respond to his love and offered salvation with faith. Just like when someone says they love you and wait hoping for a response. Our belief and confession secures us in our faith, and that is what makes us a Christian. I am a converted Christian.I put my faith in Jesus for salvation when I was 16 years old. I heard of God?s love and Jesus?s sacrifice for the first time. I had never heard such good news, that God would do that for me. I believed right then and there and was water baptized a few days later. I have never regretted that day and love my dear sweet Jesus with all that I am. Believe now and receive him if you have not done so. I love you and want this for you.

Hi Sally, not to worry...I am a big believer of God...and have a love for Jesus...He is my first love...I stand as close to Him as I can...I go to church on Sundays...and also to Bible study class after church...I go to the different prayer meetings in the week...and love going there...my pastor is an amazing man...and I read my Bible every chance I get...he says it is wonderful to say the words I believe...I have faith...but he says you have to live those words...show your love and faith...and God will know...it's like when you see a cop coming down the road...so you pull over to the slow lane because you don't want him to see you were speeding...well...when you jump from one line to the other...it doesn't really matter...God knows if you were speeding....He knows if you are true to heart with Him...you are so welcome for the review my sweet friend...and I love you too...xxoo

Loved this! So true...this is how my MIL explained things to my husband when he was a kid. Course with her though she was coming from a Catholic background. We know its important to have Jesus in your heart. I couldn't live without him! Happy New Year!
On an exciting note: I got a blue ribbon for "The Accident". I was shocked! I am still going to go over my stuff after tomorrow when my hubby leaves to go out of town. Will be looking over what you suggested and make sure I have change stuff. Thanks again. Happy Writing in 2019! katy

Although I understood that the two paths/two life choices were spiritual, I found myself thinking that it could easily have 'turned' to a political bent. That too was interesting.
Do you share your lessons with a congregation? This one has a common theme but you have an unusual and creative method for drawing the hearer into the picture.

I only saw one tiny thingy:
'a(n) ever fixed point'

Thank you so much for the excellent review and insight. I guess it could be seen as a political article, but my intent was a spiritual one. I am also a contributing writer for a Christian website. I love to point people to Jesus. He is so wonderful and my Savior and Lord. I am glad you liked it. I appreciate your critique, I fixed it right away. I am nearly blind as you know, and voice text along with sighted proof readers still leave me with errors sometimes. Thanks a bunch for catching that!

oh, yes, I knew it is a spiritual journey and really well done...I tend to always see ways a story can go differently even as I know it can't. Hope it didn't offend to think this way. Even if someone did start out thinking that, it would be perfect to find the 'divergence' leads to God!

Thanks for sharing your witness here, Sal! I like your creative metaphor of the lines. We all do need to make a decision for the Lord. I just wonder if we are only "preaching to the choir?" How would someone who never read Scripture understand these words? That's always my concern when we believers speak of the gospel. Thankful for your faithfulness here! Blessings to you and yours in the New Year!!

Thank you so much for the excellent review review and insight. I am a converted Christian, and I had never heard the gospel until a friend shared it with me in high school. I was saved the very moment I read the scriptures and put my trust in Jesus for salvation. I have never regretted it. The power of God goes forth in his word and he is might to save. I believe this because he saved me.

This is so true and everyone should read this! What we do with Jesus will determine life eternal with Him or eternal damnation without Him! There is nothing more important than this decision: whether to stay on the left, the wide road or go to the right, the narrow road and few will find it. How scary that few find it?! I like how you depicted the dilemma of being on the right yet tempted by the left and vise versa. One small change Sally; on the 9th paragraph, you have 'at' where it should just be 'a' - "There will be a day when all of humanity . . ." Glad you wrote this and hope someone questions what road they are on. Well done!

Thank you for excellent review and insightful comments. I will also take care of the typo, and I appreciate that, as well. I am so glad you could appreciate my parable and the spiritual truth behind it.

What a wonderful writing. Done with imagination, yet full of truth. Capturing both religious and political stances IMHO. Very well done. Simple yet full of wisdom. Blessings

first of all, as a south paw, I must object to the entire premise. why is left always evil? take your average escutcheon, the right side is Dexter (dexterity) and the left side?? Sinister. even Heraldry is against me. now about your write, the image of people choosing which line to wait in is so accurate it is almost comical. good work, Sal. I was joking and your writing is insightful....................meeshu

Thank you so much. I knew you were teasing from the get go. I have many a southpaw in my life. Most of them are super smart and creative like you. The rest of us, just left brained and right handed. I am glad you saw some merit in my piece.

In my opinion, a beautiful and thoughtful write, an essay of some magnitude in its references to the lines facing humanity. The truth is readily apparent, though it may not manifest literally in our sight, it does so figuratively and spiritually and is a message for personal review and our decision to live in love or die in destruction...Eve

Thank you Eve, for your review and insightful comments. I appreciate them so much. I seek to present truth but make people think and evaluate their own spiritual life. Jesus has some so much for us, for me personally, that I was compelled to,write this. I am glad you saw it?s merit.

You are very welcome, Sal - a mesmerizing write, especially since I very rarely read and review writing other than poetry, but I couldn't help myself with this one. It seemed to call to me, and I thank you for sharing...Eve

A work of an Evangelist, and an inspired work! From somewhere mid way of your Non Fiction piece, I began to hear the voice of Billy Graham. So powerful is your presentation of the Gospel and so" made" for this time and age! A parable -yes! And a living witness of Christ and His love for humanity. I did not quite understand from the first 2-3 paragraphs where you were headed. So were Jesus' parables, his message became clear only at the end. You have given an invitation... may people respond even though perhaps not openly in their reviews. But God knows the heart. God bless you, Sally

Donka, you are my dear sister in Christ! I am blessed to have you. I am a bearer of the gospel, tis true. I love telling others about Jesus especially in my writings. Now that I am nearly blind, it is a new opportunity for me to share Christ with others. God continues to use me and open doors. I am flabbergasted that he loves me, and still has something he wants to do with my life in the last days. Thank you for the outstanding review and I do love Billy Graham. I was an altar counselor years ago just one time at a crusade. My husband and I both. He walked in the power of the Holy Spirit like few I have ever seen or heard. Miss him.

Happy and blessed New Year to you and your family, Sally. You are a precious sister in Christ to me too, "bearer of the gospel"- I love that!! I don't like when you say that you are "nearly blind". Spiritual vision is what we need even more that physical. And I sensed the presence of the Holy Spirit in you work. I used to watch Billy Graham in the past, and his ministry was the first to send me literature when I became born again.
