A very well-written poem about all the dreams and sacrifices we have to make as mothers to become a mother for our children. Our weight cannot come down because we have to eat their left-overs too.

Great piece with a message. I'm sure this will be relatable to many mothers. Mothers have many other mouths to feed that they don't have time for their own diet. Once again, excellent job!

I guess that any excuse will do! Blaming it on the children is an interesting role reversal. Your free verse poem explores and exposes some of the weaknesses of the food addict.

Thanks a lot for finding merits on this little poem. My deep apologies for it took me more than a year to reply back. I've been too caught up with the boring task of income generation. My creative self took a backseat in the meantime.

This poem is so relatable to those of us that struggle with our weight! Our kids really do it all the time, especially as teens, and we end up somehow eating more an more ourselves! I enjoyed the term food buddy and taste tester. I enjoyed reading this and found it to be a relatable piece! Great work!

Great poem full of home truths. Geoff here writing for Louise, working on building up her funny money so we can promote her "Our Trips" book more as many of you requested. Loved the layout as well. Recently diagnosed Coeliac (Americans spell it Celiac or Wheat allergy) and also a Type 2 Diabetic. Check out our trip stories there are a couple being promoted atm.

'Well done on crafting a valid and timely topic. When raising kids it is hard to keep a tight hold on calories or exercise. I like the photograph you chose. It is bright and colorful and enhances your point.
